Product Description Fill this beautiful dark walnut 4-shelf bookcase with your favorite books, family photographs or collectibles. The wood veneer top extends out over the solid wood legs, and the legs flair slightly. Both touches add good looks to this simply styled bookcase. Wood veneer top, side panels and shelves. Imported. 63Hx19.25Wx15.38D".

Apologies for previous review -- found the dimensions (if you can delete my previous entry, that would be good).
poor shipping, damaged pieces May 31, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
the furniture itself is fine. or rather, it would be if it was shipped properly. before ordering anything from target, think long and hard about how willing you are to deal with damaged goods and their return. if you receive something damaged (and you will), be prepared for an extensive return process. chances are, the item they send you as a replacement will be damaged as well. this happened to me twice. if you're lucky, you will be able to piece something decent together from the multiple shipments. this, however, will take time. additionally, even if the piece is not cracked, you will need to make a trip to the hardware store to purchase stain to fix the discolorations in the wood. i bought the desk, the hutch and the bookcase - all of which had to be returned to replace cracked pieces and all of which had to be touched up with stain.
also be advised that target does not make it clear that certain pieces will not be delivered at all if you do not make arrangements with the outside carrier. after waiting and waiting, and calling target on several occasions, someone will eventually relay the information that you need to call the carrier and make a delivery appointment - even though other pieces arrived without such complications.
quite honestly, this has been far more inconvenient than it was worth. by the time you pay for the shipping and the tax, this is not so much a "deal" but a waste of time and money.
Love it! April 25, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had ours for a few years now. They have moved 3 times now & across the US now and if the movers didn't break them they are a great product in my eyes. They have never been abbused or neglected. They are a wonderful product. I would by more but they are very expensive and well worth the money! I can't see why someone would say they would just fall down but it must be from them putting it together. The design is easy to assemble and easy to move. But I love it and would buy more! Des
Very nice look if you can get one that isn't broken September 13, 2005 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have been trying to get a matching pair of these bookshelves, however, only one out of three has arrived undamaged. This item is packaged very poorly for shipping and all three arrived in very poor condition. The last one arrived w/ nearly every piece broken! Amazon is now refusing to ship another replacement since this is an ongoing problem. Now I can't finish the pair and am stuck w/ only one useable bookshelf. My recommendation would be to only purchase this item in a store and if it isn't available, then don't bother.
They need to get the bugs out of this one August 3, 2005 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I own the Dolce table and chair set, the desk, the hutch, the console table, and two of these bookcases. The bookcases are the only thing that aren't well-designed. If you go back and look at the other reviews of them collapsing, you might want to take note... Especially if you have young children. Mine aren't allowed to go near them.
My bookcases have never collapsed, but every month or so, I have to pull out all the books and basically reassemble the things to get it to look like it's NOT about to fall apart. The hardware holding up the shelves is totally insufficient, especially towards the back, where all the weight is. I have to prop the shelves up in the back by stacking books up on the shelf below.
They are nice looking, and they look mighty fine on either side of the desk and hutch, and I can't say I regret buying them, because I am glad I have them. But do be careful if you plan on loading these up with young kids around, the last thing you need is hundreds of hardcover books landing on your kid's head.
