Brave fencer musashi is a title that is not intended to be anything like Final Fantasy games. That is probably why it was not actually given the Final fantasy title. I wish that people would stop comparing it to said title. Same company does mean same games. Overall, however, BFM is very fun game that still has me stuck on the last level, but thats because I'm lazy. Don't read too much into the voice acting. It is meant to make you laugh, not to mention it is squaresofts first attempt at voice acting in games.

5 out of 5 stars Brave New Hero Musashi   March 13, 2006

Musashi is a long game in which you don't get bored, why?, the reason is that Musashi gets new habilities during the whole game, he also can absorb his enemy's power with a powerful sword called lumina, the other sword can absorb the elements scrolls like water, fire, earth, wind and sky.I recomend this game because you will get a lot of fun and never get bored with it.
Buy it this is one way to spend your money rightly

First of all, if you are expecting a lengthy text ridden Final Fantasy or Xenogears type of RPG, look elsewhere... Musashi is a legendary swordsman in Japan and in this game you will get to control him throughout chapters that take you all over the place and meet fun new people and enamies alike. Musashi weilds two swords that each serve there purpous and are very fun to use. This is a Squarsoft made game so expect a very nice soundtrack and some nice graphics as well. Yeah Musashi's voice is a little on the childish side but maby thats because well....HES A CHILD. And it never bothered me since he is a uber powerhouse and a legendary swordsman. There is also a night/day system and certain shops will be open at certain times making the town feel alive. Also, like any good rpg there are tons of unique items and relics to collect throughout the game and side quests abound! So yeah this game is great and its getting hard to find for cheap so go get yourself a copy and enjoy, Brave Fencer Musashi!
