5 out of 5 stars still loads of fun 12 years later   June 27, 2008
I was 8 when this came out. i remember playing it on the sega saturn and play station version. prefered the ps version because it was way faster at loading and had better sound. now i am 20 and i managed to find a copy of this game on this site and oh boy it's way better now! it is a bit faster on my ps2 and now i play it on my stereo and it sounds pretty damn good for 12 years old.
now heer is a twist. i am blind and can not see the screen and it is still fun for me :). i love hitting people and crap. it is cool. well i have also played it on the sega genesis and prefer the ps version everytime simply of the better sound. and the 64 version was good for what it was as well :). i defanatly recommend this game for fans of good games!

5 out of 5 stars exciting and sick   February 4, 2004

I never owned a Sega Genesis so I never got to experience Road Rash on that system (where the series was popular). I did get to watch other Sega owners play the game though (even though watching someone play a game is never as fun as playing it yourself). Once I received a Playstation and noticed that I could play Road Rash on that system, I KNEW I had to grab a copy. I had a good feeling about a PS-X version. Better graphics and sound.

And... yup, better graphics and sound and REALLY fun. I lost my copy of this game and I really can't believe I let that happen. As I mentioned in another review, normally I'm a very organized person. Apparently I need help keeping my games in one place!

This game is really freakin' sick, and more importantly, fun. I adore hitting old ladies with my bike, along with construction workers and the half-naked girl who waves the start flag (can you blame me? she stands there like she WANTS to get hit!) It's really fun hitting people with your bike. It's fun kicking and punching people too, along with smacking them with chains and baseball bats. The point of the game is to do whatever you have to do to come in first place of the race.

This version of Road Rash could have had more stages instead of five, but that's okay. The hard rock music that plays in each of the five stages is really awesome. The stages themselves are all pretty much the same but for some reason I like the level located next to the ocean the most. The city stage is also nice because there's a lot of open space and divided roads.

5 out of 5 stars Just like I remember it...   January 18, 2003

I lost my Sega a yr ago (Sniff...) and I wanted RR and I could'nt get it cause I had nothing to play it on. So I was strolling through Babbages one day and I see RR. I think to myself: could this be it? And I bought it without knowing what I was getting myself into. The next month I spent with my PS1 are days I will never forget. It was just as I had remembered it. Not a sprite out of place and the game seemed to play faster on the PS1. Now I have another Sega, but anytime I want to go down memory lane with some classic RR, I bust out my PS1 and let the good times roll...and I bust some heads while I'm at it.

This is one of Playstation worst games yet! Playstation is know for its great games plus Playstation is the #1 selling system ever! One of the few exceptions is Road Rash.

Road Rash is a very bad game. I mean you basically play the whole game in 2 minutes. Hey don't get me wrong I usually like the Road Rash series they were one of my favorites on the Genesis, but not on the Playstation.

Plus the characters in the game with that so called "puppet animation" who could look at those guys for 5 minutes and live tell me I want to know.

Plus they basically didn't do anything to the levels compared to the Genesis Road Rash. The levels are still at Genesis's level or animation! You can't do worst than that. Like I said I like the Road Rash series on the Genesis, but that was when the Playstation didn't exist! I bought this game hoping it would be a greatly improved game from the Genesis version, but actually I think I like the Genesis version better. I mean at least it was original and the first, but this new one should be up to Playstation's animation level not the Genesis or Game Boy's! Don't be dumb and waste your good money on this game. Go out and buy some games with Playstation standards!
