Nice little addition, I love it ! January 9, 2009 I don't think I could ever live without it. I love taking pictures in low light situations, so now I'm certain I should have bought this with my camera in the first place. First of all, it works without batteries as a remote release which alone is worth the money. You can half-press the shutter and focus and press all the way to take the shot, exactly like you do on your camera. This is a huge deal when it comes to shooting on a tripod under low light. You forget about shooting with your camera timer. The length of the cable works for me, and the other functions: interval- shooting, delayed/timed shooting for which you need a dime-sized battery, are very convenient, although I don't use them much. It's nice to know you have those functions. Instructions are easy to understand and follow. I'm very pleased with this purchase and totally recommend it !
It doesn't need an on off switch people! January 4, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The first thing I would like to point out is that it does not have a on.off switch, but that doesn't matter! It is like and lcd wristwatch, it will keep the display on and keep running for years. There is no need to keep taking the battery out like some of the previous reviews have stated.
That being said, this is an awesome product, period.
received a grey market remote December 16, 2008 The remote i received was a grey market remote. Returned it and bought it from another retailer.

I have only had the TC80N3 remote for a short time but it has proven to be invaluable. I have read other reviews complaining that the buttons are too small but I personally have not had any issues, and I have big fingers. There are multiple combinations for timing and delay that I haven't even touch yet but it has functioned as advertised.
The only(minor)downside is the lack of a power button to turn the device off but that is easily corrected by opening the battery tray.

The only problem I've found with this product is that it does not appear to have a way to turn it off. I've been taking the battery out.
