The DP5 is a five-piece kit which includes 1-D1 for snare, 2-D2 for rack toms, 1-D4 for floor tom, and 1-D6 for kick drum. Also included are 4 D-vice tension rim mount clips and aluminum carrying case. The DP5, which consists of over $1,500 worth of microphones at individual retail prices, is an icredible bargain at this discount price. In classic Audix style, the D6 will not disappoint anyone looking for a huge, clean, undistorted kick drum sound. The D6 is about twice the size of the normal D series microphone, and yet it is extremely easy to use and position. Utilizing the same low profile mounting clip as the D series mics, the D6 will work with the Dvice and D-flex clips, as well as a variety of other popular clips on the market. The D6 has a frequency response of 30 Hz - 15 kHz and is characterized with a cardioid pick-up pattern. The D6 is designed to sound good in any position and it is not dependent on finding the "sweet spot" of the drum. The D6 capsule features the same legendary VLM technology that has made the D series percussion and instrument microphones very popular for todayas live stages and recording studios.Audix Percussive Arts Specialist, Rob Schnell, says, "Our customers have been asking for a large format kick drum mic for some time now, and itas no secret that weave been working on the D6.
