4 out of 5 stars Not as good as you expect   September 7, 2003

The grachis on this game isn't no PS2, but it wasn't very fun either. The game wasn't in complete 3D like the movie was, it just had some parts that was it, I suggest passing on it even if your a big Spy Kids fan. The games doesn't quite follow the movie all the way either, there's different modes, and it isn't too much of a action/adventure game.

5 out of 5 stars IT LOOKS GREAT from Keegan Wolfe   August 7, 2003

By what I have read this game is awesome. It has 15 3D images to look with 3D Glasses. I have seen the film and it is quite good so I think this game will be great. The pictures look like it is fun to fight with and will take a while to complete which is a great challenge!

4 out of 5 stars Your Mission: Play this game!   July 16, 2003

OK, I'm not a huge fan of the first two Spy Kids movies but I was very excited to find that the third movie was gonna be 3-D! I Was also very excited when I found out that there was going to be a video game for this movie!!!! The first question that came to my mind was "Is this game gonna be 3-D?" Well the answer is Yes and No. The actual game is not 3-D but you can collect 3-D images by collecting what are called "3-D Cards" which can be viewed by pressing the start button and going to "3-D images." Then put on your 3-D glasses (which comes with the game) to view these images. I am now gonna nreak this game up into different categories to tell you what I think!!!

GamePlay/Story:(9/10 stars) The Story of the game follows the same story as the movie. You play the game as Juni and your goal is to go into the video game "Game Over" to find your sister Carmen. The game is divided into 4 worlds which each have 3 levels in each (Total of 12 levels). You can choose how many continues you have (You can choose up to 7)but unfortunatley you only have 3 lifes which means you can die very easily on the harder levels.

Control:(10/10) The controls in this game are very easy! The they are very fast and do not drag out which makes fighting easier.

3-D effects:(7/10) Okay, to be honest this isn't the version of the game that I truly wanted. I actually wanted the PC version bacause I figured the 3-D would be, well.....more "3-D" than the GBA version. But after searching continuously for the Pc version and only finding the GBA version, I just decided to buy this one. The 3-D wasn't all that bad. No, it isnt "up in your 3-D" but it is very noticeably 3-D. My only problems are that 1 or 2 of the images didn't look 3-D at all, the 3-D cards are in odd places, and the pictures aren't actually pictures from the movie they are just pictures of objects from the movie. The 3-D is still good though. (By the way, 15 images in all).

Graphics:(8/10) I tought the grapics were okay, not the best. There are some other games that have way better grapics than this. But there was a lot of color and the backgrounds were alright so i guess the graphics were pretty good!

Frustration Level: (9/10) I will admit this game can get a bit frustrating! But if you have the patience to deal with it, it will be fine. The main frustrating thing is that you only have 3 lives and if you run out, its back to the beggining of the level you go!!!!! This might not be good for younger players. But great for older, more experienced players who like a challenge!!

So as you can see this is a great game with only a few little flaws. By the way, On July 25th McDonalds will be selling Spy kids 3-D toys with codes for this game. This game is great for any spy kids fan!!!!!
