Thrillville April 7, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Unfortunately, this game is not able to be loaded onto our computer. I need to send it back. I am very disappointed that I have done everything possible, -- cleaned the hard drive, ran virus software, defrag the drive, etc. and still we are not able to load this expensive game.
My daughter has been looking forward to getting this game for months and then we receive it and it doesn't work.
No thrill in thrillville February 11, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Once again I was duped by Lucasarts... even though our computer is new, it doesn't have a 'special' graphics card to run the game. I allowed this to happen back when star wars came out but I guess the experience wasn't painful enough for me to remember and I went and ordered this. Maybe if the fact that it was from Lucas Arts was more prominent, then I might have realized it and not ordered it. another 40 dollars down the drain. So please check your system against the game requirements before you purchase. I think it has to do with an nvidia card. THanks!
Not a better Roller Coaster Tycoon January 19, 2008 I have had many hours of fun playing this game. The graphics are lush, the rides impossible in the real world, how to progress in the game was made clear with the mission board's assistance. You don't build your own park like in Roller Coaster Tycoon- it's already done for you complete in layout and scenery- that was a bit disappointing to me. I was expecting a little more hands on in that area. The game's mission was a mystery which unfolded as you complete the game missions. Your park guests interact with you (I chose to be the Park Manager)some are people and some are robots, they help you complete your missions. My only difficulty with the game, which is not the game's fault, is that I stink at some of the aspects required to complete the game's missions; mainly the mini games-don't get me wrong they are great fun-I just happen to be 'challenged' by this type of game play and cannot complete many of the missions without my 11 year old son's help, which was not a bad thing since he was happy to help me and we spent some time gaming together. He had fun showing off his skills and I had fun watching how good he is at it. In the future I would like to see game aspect of this one married to the RCT thrill of building your own park from scratch- but I think that's a little too big of an expectation right now. Overall I give the game 3.5 stars.
Great Great Fun! December 22, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is great fun. The number and variety of the "side games" are the icing on the cake for the "career" mode of park manager. I highly recommend this game, especially for 7-12 year olds.
Cool GAME AS IN FUN November 18, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
THIS GAME IS SUPER FUN. Thrillville has alsome graphics and the music played through out the game is groovy. The negative part of the game is how much memory it takes and how much it costs. other wise this game is super fun to own and is worth the money. I recomned this game to teenagers and up their are some little things that wouldn't be very good for younger children such as kissing and hugging. For doing the game you can flirt with hot girls or cute boys. And when you do this they give you the chose in kissing. because you are tring to become sweat hearts. I would totally recomned this game for it is really fun I think this game is fun.
