I CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HOW GREAT THIS GAME IS! PUT SIMPLY IT'S GOT EVERY THING A GREAT GAME NEED'S! IT WAS DONE RIGHT AND EVEN THOUGH IT'S GOTTEN A LITTLE OLDER STILL STAND'S THE TEST OF TIME! RED FACTION IS A GREAT GAME. WITH OUT QUESTION IT'S ONE OF THE GREATEST GAMES OF ALL TIME!!

I recently picked this up used for $4. I saw the screenshots for this game and thought it would be a good game to add to my shooter collection.I didn't quite know what to expect at first. But overall I was satisfied. It kinda reminds me of "Soldier Of Fortune" because of the graphics and the constant loading time between levels. I believe Red Faction was released the same year too. But I can't understand the "M" rating. A little blood spills out when you shoot somebody, BIG DEAL!!! This game is nowhere near the gore level like Soldier Of Fortune was. OH MY GOD, AN ENEMY SOLDIER HAS A PAPER CUT! LET'S RATE THIS GAME MATURE! (just kidding.) But I do have to admit that ESRB does a very good job when rating this stuff.If you set the difficulty level to EASY you can pretty much wizz on passed it pretty quickly.It not be the best shooter on the market, but it's pretty decent for the money. I might check out the sequel as well.

i don't want to waste too much time on this crappy game... it's just not good at all, and it's pretty funny how everyone keeps saying it's good just because other people and game review sites say it is. maybe it's because this game was made years ago, before better games came along. whatever. nothing sets this game apart as fun or special, be it graphics or gameplay or story.

the multiplayer here is worth it! lots of fun and quite similar to goldeneye on 64. my copy has some strange glitch that prevents me from finishing the game(it freezes on a load screen) but this problem is probably just my copy.
The game loads up for multiplayer really fast for a game this old. The geomod is a cool feature. Blowing up stuff is always fun. Bottom line, this is the best shooter you can find for a price this low.

Red Faction is a great game. All of the levels are action packed and keep me interested in playing further. And to the reviewer below me stating the game does not work on a slim ps2- apparently it does work on my system.
