Would everyone quit with the crying about this is Capcom's "worst game" April 17, 2006 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
...they have done worse. Now, to get down to business, there are a majority of disappointments that fanboys of Capcom are only looking at. I am ,by the way, a huge fan of all 2d fighters ,so I am not biased towards one franchise or another. This game had a great idea of bringing past games together to form an "ultimate" game. Yes, they should have put much more characters in ,but the ones on there are suffice. The gameplay is almost like SNK vs. Capcom 2,which is my favorite fighter for xbox, so there is a plus. Graphics are good ,but there is always room for improvment. More gameplay options would have helped , and it being on xbox live is another plus. I am not really a optimist ,but you all need to chill out and look at the bright side.
kthxbye
They're just on cruise control now... March 10, 2006 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
The only good thing you can say about this game is that the fighting isn't broken. But then, that's because they could do it in their sleep. And that's just what they did. Zero effort into making this the real exhibition of the greatness of their fighting game series that it could have been. Four characters each from five different games (plus two boring new ones) is not even an adequate cross-section of the variety of play-styles these games fostered. (...)
You'll never find anyone to play this game online with, either.
I miss the glory days of Capcom... June 30, 2005 6 out of 10 found this review helpful
Is the 2D fighter dead? No, it is Capcoms Fighting Game Department that is dead. After well balanced and innovative games such as Marvel vs. Capcom, Street Fighter Alpha 3, 3rd Strike, and Capcom vs. SNK 2, Capcom has given us crap for years. This title is no different. It is a bunch of recycled sprites, mismatched systems, and poor hit detection.
Seriously, if you want to a fun, new, 2D fighter these days, play something by Arc Systems such as Guilty Gear or the Rumble Fish. Leave Capcom's trash alone until they stop recycling and give us something new.
JUST AS GARBAGE AS THE PS 2 VERSION! WHY CAPCOM?! June 25, 2005 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
(...)Why do you keep releasing such trash like this? You're one of the best video game companies and in the past had the best fighting games. WHY?! WHY?! WHY?! Can we please get a Fighting Evolution 2 with at least 30+ characters from different street fighter games, detailed 2-d fluid animation,3-d backgrounds and foregrounds, mild blood just like the old days, real endings, etc. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
