Excellent Keyboard for use with a flat screen TV as monitor October 3, 2008 I bought this beacuse I hooked one of my older PC towers to my 46" LCD flatscreen so I could surf the net from the couch. This keyboard if very precise and responsive from about 15 feet. It works great and is one of the only ones I could find that had a built in touchpad so that I could sit back and relax while easily navigating and typing into a web page.
Great solution and great product!
Easy to install, works great September 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was initially a bit hesitant to buy this because of the price, but I feel better about it now after finding it to be of good quality. Installation just took a few seconds since there are no drivers to install (I'm using XP Pro). Took me a minute to realize the caps lock was turned on by the computer, which meant the keys on the right side of the keyboard were acting as numbers instead of letters. Easily fixed (press blue keys Fn+NumLK).
Keyboard feel is like my Thinkpad, which is crisp, relatively quiet, and nice for typing. It's quite compact, maybe the width of the non-screen part of a 15" laptop, but smaller in the other two dimensions and quite lightweight.
One weird thing is that the touchpad will keep scrolling (or dragging) when you drag your finger and get to an edge of the pad. For example, if you double-tap-and-drag to drag a scroll bar downwards on a web page and your finger gets to the bottom of the pad, the pointer will just keep going until you lift your finger or move it away from the edge. This is separate from the functionality of the scroll area marked on the right side of the pad, and it doesn't do it if you use the button below the touchpad instead of the double-tap-and-drag technique. Now that I've figured out what it's doing, I'm getting used to it, but I still prefer a mouse or trackball to any touchpad.
I have not noticed any evidence of interference from the wifi network and 2.4GHz cordless phone that share the room.
Recommended.
Solid Performer, does exactly what I wanted it to. September 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this keyboard for one reason: to control my media PC which is hooked to my TV. Its really annoying to have to get up and walk over to pick up your mouse/keyboard so you can skip the intro to an anime.
It's worked pretty much exactly the way I expected it to. It was plug and play, I haven't had to re-synch it, and the batteries are still fine several months after I got it.
Range seems to be pretty good, which was the chief problem I'd had with the wireless mouse I purchased previously.
There's a slight delay when waking it up, but no big deal, and the touchpad mouse can sometimes be a little finicky, but no more so than other touchpads I've used. Over all an excellent product.
Great Product, Great Price September 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have bought two of these items so far and could not be happier. I can sit across the room and this thing works everytime. I would highly recommend this setup if you are looking for a stylish, trustworthy keyboard/mouse setup that can be used up to 30+ feet away. A+++++

This does exactly what I wanted it to do. I built a home theater PC and I needed a wireless way to enter information and use a mouse. I sit about 10-15 feet away and it works flawlessly. Thanks.
