Great toy for the car! June 30, 2008
I got these to supplement the bass in my 1988 Fiero. I have a Blaupunkt 10" shallow woofer (located behind the passenger seat) that needed some bass reinforcement. I bought two bass shakers and with a non-inductive load, was able to wire them up to act as a 4-ohm load. The result is an impressive full range sound system in a car that has less than zero room for such luxuries. From the rumble of the bass shakers to the low to mid audible highs of the "normal" sub, you get it all. The bass shakers sit behind the driver seat and are compressed against the firewall by the seat. I used an electronic crossover to eliminate any incoming frequencies to below 80Hz. Furthermore you don't rumble going down the street so the local ordinances are satisfied too! 5 stars! My next project is a gaming chair for Guitar Hero.
Great Product, What a Subwoofer should do! January 12, 2007

This product is everything I have always wanted a subwoofer to be. I have had several subwoofers in my home theater and my cars and I was always looking for the felt bass more than the heard bass. It always seems that if you turn a subwoofer up loud enough to feel it, it makes your ears ring. This product allows you to feel the bass, without the excessive noise and ear ringing. I am using the bass shaker in my home theater, under my couch, along with a seperate subwoofer and they make a great combination. When you run it along with the subwoofer, it actually tricks your mind and body into thinking the sub is producing the felt bass (as long as you calibrate the two properly, which is not difficult). As cool as an effect as this product offers, I am surprised that bass shakers are not more of a mainstream home theater/car stereo product.

These are amazing products for low freq. they'll really get down word of advise don't use them for higher bass freq sounds more like a grinding noise after about 75 htz. Enjoy
