Product Description
Sony Computer Entertainment's popular cel-shaded RPG series comes to the PlayStation Portable system with a return of the original adventures of Prince Pinon of the first and second PlayStation installments of the series, enhanced with new elements and updated details. Playing as Pietro, prince of the Popolocrois Kingdom, you head off on your first adventure in order to find a way to awaken your mom. Battles are now grided strategy, with you moving your party members in turn with enemies. In addition to standard attacks, magic attacks and character combination attacks, the game lets you summon beasts to help out. Dungeons also feature prominently in the game, requiring that you work through traps when not in battle.

2 out of 5 stars This game is horrid   December 7, 2008
Hi I am a heavy RPG fan, and I know a good RPG when I play it. And Popolocrois is not a good game.

The story line is bad. The story is, this little boy (ten yrs old) sets off on a "Magical" journey on a potion that will wake up his mom who has been in a "Mysterious sleep" for ten years. The story sounds corny, yes and it does not get any better. The game does not give good directions on where to go next.

The gameplay is dull, you kill all monsters with one or two hits. This game is not turn based combat, if it was it would be halfway decent. But you fight around on this grid.

The graphics are cartoonish a lil, which I like how they made the characters.

So overall this game is bad, very bad. PLease dont listen to the other reviews, they are people settling for less due to the lack of RPGs on the PSP. Instead of wasting my money and time on a crappy game, I'd rather just wait for a good game.

5 out of 5 stars Big stuff in a small package!!   July 2, 2008

I began playing this game and at first thought, oh another final fantasy clone, but soon was completely engrossed in the story telling, the characters, the theater quality Anime cut-scenes, and couldn't put it down. And like a favorite book, you may just come back again and again, just to immerse yourself in the Popolocrois universe like I have. Great fun for the whole family. Enjoy!!

5 out of 5 stars I Love Popolocrois!   September 25, 2007
I really love this game. I would highly recommend it to any RPG / Anime fan of any age. It has a good story line and awesome little movies here and there. I was a little skeptical at first. I thought it might be cheesy with not so great battle action, but I am very glad I gave it a try. The only thing I could see change is the random, pop-up battles out in the fields. But you get used to that after awhile and the quicker you move the less fighting you'll have to do between locations, so it's really not bad. I enjoyed this game very much and hope you will to!

5 out of 5 stars really cute and quick   August 30, 2007
Must have for the RPG player. Even though it can be finished in one sitting. *i finished the game in the course of a day* battle system is simple, the story line is cute * a little boy going to search for his mommy*. the loading times and the battle system aren't half bad.

4 out of 5 stars Great Game!!!   July 31, 2006
Excelent Game. (old school RPG).

- good graphics and audio. (the graphics are beautifull).
- good fighting/battle system. (old school).
- good story (typical, but not so bad).
- The spells are cool!!!.
- When you're in a battle and do a special move, it loads for
about 1 or 2 seconds, then the rest of the special moves don't
need to load. (it doesn't really bother)

The game is pretty fun.
