screen protect December 29, 2006 this product does not work all it does is gather dirt and make the screen bubble it won't even stay on not worth the money or time spend trying to put it on the best protection is the wrist strap this way it can't fall
Good screen protectors that also work on DS Lite June 17, 2006 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have a Ds Lite. When I first got it, I was afraid the touch screen would get scratched, so I bought these screen protectors. I am only using the one for the touch screen. It has a few bubbles, but it works. The instructions are a little confusing, and getting the tabbed sheets of can be tricky. Worth the money, though.
The Best, No Comparison April 12, 2006 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
The Hori screen protectors for the Nintendo DS are simply the best. I would recommend them to anyone who owns a DS. I can almost forget that they are there. I have tried other screen protectors (Pelican and other) and frankly, they suck. There is no comparison. Don't be cheap: shell out the 6.99 for these puppies and you won't regret it.
These Potectors are a Deam! February 11, 2006 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
If you've ever had a device that has a touch screen you already know that scratches are inevitable. They don't happen everyday or everyweek but every once in a while the stylus slips and you've got a nice little scratch in your new toy. And it's there every time you turn that device on mocking you and sometimes you just glare at it, your stomach twisting in your chest as you berate yourself about that one moment that ruined perfection.
So protective filters are a must. For the past few weeks I've been using the filters that attach with little bits of glue in the corners. The problem with those filters isn't the glue. You see, they don't quite cling to the screen entirely and yet they somewhat do so you end up with this patchwork of light and dark areas on the plastic. And the filters scratch like you wouldn't believe. I play two games on my DS; Animal Crossing and Sonic Rush. On the filter you can clearly see the up and don't stroke I use in Animal Crossing for selling items to Nook and the side to side stroke used in Sonic Rush to move Sonic in bonus levels. It's horrible. Protects the device but really ugly.
I found these filters the Hori Nintendo Protective filters yesterday. They were expensive and I was apprehensive but they are a dream. In a package you get a protector for the top screen and one for the bottom (read the directions to see which protector's for which screen). They cling evenly to the screens and if you get an air bubble they can easily be removed and reapplied with no ill effects. I show the filters to my mom earlier and she couldn't even tell they were on the DS. They are beautiful filters and I think they might even make the picture more vibrant. Best of all the bottom filter hasn't scratched yet.
Protect your DS, look great doing it. Buy these filters.
Well Worth It January 23, 2006 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
These deffinitly do the job. I accidentally figured out a way to get more use than usual out of them. The screen protector sheet itself comes stuck to a plastic sheet, with another plastic layer the same size as the protector on top of it, and on top of that there is a plastic tab to pull the protector off the plastic sheet. When I peeled mine off of the main sheet, I then put it on my screen and pulled the tab off. Because I removed the tab so carefully the plastic layer under the tab and on top of the actual protector stayed on the protector. I left this there until it got scratched, then peeled it off revealing the real and more durable protector underneath. If anybody wants to try this I would suggest it. Why not get more out of the product than it was even made for? Overall, even if you only use the product as directed, it does its job well and leaves no residue upon removal. I deffinitly suggest getting one at the same time you get a Nintendo DS so you never have to worry about scratching your screen.
