Awful December 31, 2008 One reviewer called it the "fun side of awful". I just say awful. I have and enjoy the touchmaster game and was looking for something else with a variety of short games. This was certainly not what I had in mind. I wont play it at all and the kids and grandkids never last more than 5 minutes.
Does get boring faster than expected December 22, 2008 I bought this for my daughter, and it wasn't what we expected. If you can't pass a mini game in the "story mode"- you are basically done with story mode. You can't move on until you are done with that mini game. I wouldn't buy this one again. A game isn't any fun if you get too frustrated with it too fast!
In my opinion, it isn't as bad as it has been reviewed October 8, 2008 Despite the terrible reviews I'd read about this game, I decided to purchase it since I liked the concept of mini games around a haunted house.
I personally find it slightly difficult to try to get all the mini games "passed" to obtain the keys. But whether or not you pass or fail a mini game, in the story mode you still continue to move on. For those of you out there who like silly little quick games to occupy your time when you're only going to be waiting for a short amount, and don't want to try to start a level to a new game only to have all the work unsaved, this is a good game. I really enjoy playing it.
FUNSIDE OF AWFUL August 25, 2008 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'LL SAY IT AGAIN, THE FUNSIDE OF AWFUL.
I DISCOVERED TOUCHMASTER AND SOME SIMILAR GAMES, SO I FIGURED, I'D LIKE TO FIND A FEW MORE GAMES IN THE SAME VEIN. THIS WAS ONE OF THEM, AT FIRST IT SEEMED GEARED TOWARDS YOUNG KIDS BECAUSE OF SOME OF THE ANIMATIONS AND A SIMPLISTIC FORMAT OF PLAY, THEN YOU DISCOVER THE ACTUAL MINI-GAMES...SOME OF THEM WERE EXCEPTIONALLY CHALLENGING, BUT ONCE DONE THERE REALLY ISN'T ANYTHING MUCH LEFT TO DO BUT BE BORED. THE MAIN GAME IS SIMPLE TO FIGURE OUT, BUT IT JUST DOESN'T STAND OUT AS A MUST CONQUER, MUST COMPLETE GAME. SOME OF THE MINI-GAMES ARE A FLAT OUT STRETCH TO THROW SOMETHING AT THE PLAYER TO USE THE STYLUS, SOME OF THEM ARE GENIUS...BUT NOT ENOUGH.
IF THE GAME HAD CONCENTRATED ON 21 LESS MINI-GAMES IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE INTERESTING, CHALLENGING AND FUN...AS IT STOOD IT WAS A MERE 10-15 MINUTE DISTRACTION FROM MY POKEMON GAME.
THE FUNSIDE OF AWFUL.

This does keep my 3 year old busy. It's good that you advance no matter if you clear the previous screen or not which allows him to play a lot longer than other games that end if you don't win. There are some cute games in it that do teach him something but aren't too hard for him to understand. I like this one.
