Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Tank Beat puts you in the shoes of Vill Katjue, a rookie tank commander lost in the chaos of an invasion. Control your tanks with the DS stylus, drawing paths for your tank & rotating the camera to get the best possible view. Battle in a variety of tanks against armored, airborne and sea opponents. Select the right tank for every situation -- they each vary in speed, agility and firepower, so pick the right ones for every challenge. Command AI-controlled allies for more strategic action, or test yourself in 2 to 4-player wireless play.

3 out of 5 stars Tankers need orders   November 23, 2007

The beginning of the game is fairly easy. But as the game progresses your ally tank gets dumber. So in the beginning the AI carries you, and doesn't really prepare you for the challenge of having to control your partner tank in later stages. So you have to get good with controlling your tank and giving orders to your partner tank, because she will either sit around doing nothing or trail so far behind you that she is useless, or sit around and take hits until she is destroyed.
Its story line takes you from being a "brat know it all", and dealing with other "brats" while being tutored by the "old veterans" with dark stories. Well pretty much every character has a story.
The interface is well designed, but it would be nice to be able to cycle back and forth between the ally tank commands. The top screen provides feedback on your targeting, while the lower screen is your primary control interface.
