Good game for little girls December 6, 2008 My daughter is 4, soon to be five in Janurary and I decided to buy her a DS game so she could play on her brothers DS like him. I read some reviews and deicided to go with this one. It is easy enough for her to control, you walk her around a trail to different lollipops which are how you get to the mini games. There are'nt a whole lot but enough without being to overwhelming for a small child. It does require an adult to help with some reading , like pressing A to start, pushing x to exit, and to save the game etc, but this is easy enough for her to do herself now, except for the saving part, also reading the part that says you do not have enough tickets to make the dessert , you need to go back and play more games. When playing the mini games you collect tickets and you use those to make special desserts to use for certain games , to give you boosts. I think this is Her favorite part. You pick the dessert, put ingredients in a bowl, mix, etc. She gets really into it when she is playing and shouts I won, Yes , etc. The games have a timer that counts down and starts getting louder as time is almost out.some of the games I like to play and help her get tickets, they are fun. It can be a little boring after playing alot, as there are only a few games you can pick from and after you play them to much it becomes to easy. But this is a good pick for a beginner on the ds learing how to control the people or things on the screen.
not a favorite November 2, 2008 My 5 yr old loves Strawberry Shortcake so I thought she would love this game. It is probably one of her least favorite (she prefers nintendogs, cooking mama, smart girls and fashion designer) It has alot of reading and is not simple for her to play without my assistance.Unless you want to constantly read to them, don't buy it.
Fun September 3, 2008 Kids love this game but it is so easy for it to get lost/misplaced because of its small size.
My daughter's favorite game August 8, 2008 My 7 year old received a ds lite for christmas along with some games. This by far is her favorite. It's challanging but not too hard for her to play.
