Best horse game ever! August 9, 2008 I bought this game for my daughter on her 10th birthday. She had originally wanted a different horse game and I thought she would like this one much more. She absolutely loves it!
Boring Game July 30, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
What a disappointment this game is, the graphics are horrible and the gameplay boring. I have the PC version and it is so much better than this. If you want a good Horse game for DS, I suggest not getting this one and trying Horse Life, it's much much better.
Great Game July 25, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is wonderful. My 10 year old daughter plays it daily on her Nintendo DS, it was easy for her to understand and play. The graphics are good, she can jump and run and choose her own horse, tack and place to ride!! She loves the jumping portions. We thought we would have received the game sooner since we chose the quickest delivery options - it still took 10 days, but at least it finally arrived! We love it, we wish it was available for Playstation 2 so her brother could play it with her on a big screen!!
Buy the PC version March 17, 2008 19 out of 21 found this review helpful
I bought the DS version of this game because I own the PC version and had apparently too high of hopes for this game. You choose from a limited variety of horses unlike the PC version where you get to create your own horse. There are three types of competition: outdoor (a standard jump course), forest (a jump course on a cross-country like track), and track (memorizing a set of figures that you draw on the touch screen) and you earn credits (which you use to buy items for you and your horse) for when you beat them. There are only three levels and once you beat those, that's it. You can't continue earning credits once you beat a course. There is little replay value. You also have to take care of your horse to continue competing with it. I have little criticism of this part of the game except that cleaning the stall get extremely annoying when you have to rake all the straw to a certain place and you can't complete it because the stupid piece of straw won't get off your pitchfork. There are other challenges available, such as rodeo (staying on a bucking horse by touching green dots on the touchscreen) and riding through check points as quickly as you can, but again these have little replay value. The PC version has horse and rider customization, mini games, and tons of jumping courses and five levels. The PC version was worth the money, the DS version not so much...
