This game BLOWS! August 26, 2000 This game was entirely impossible for me to play because of the menus...as the Amazon review says, it's impossible to navigate... the game has this automatic movement in all the selection processes. You have to fight automatic computer movements to make your selections. Example- in the settings screen there's four options... difficulty, quarter length, style of play, and tutorial. Well, I would set it to Pro, 10 minutes, normal, and off, then the game would auto change one of the selections a second before I hit enter- so I had to start all over. It was IMPOSSIBLE! I could not even play a season because of it...it's awful.I hope 2001 isn't like this.
Great Follow-up from previous version. August 15, 2000 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
EA Sports is the master in Sport game. They have proved it with the game Madden NFL 2000. The Madden comments, players and the intensity of the sounds get you on the field. One thing needs some more thought is the practice sessions; I do not like how they are set-up. Overall fun and exciting, "It's in the game"
SLOW - SLOW -SLOW! March 3, 2000 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
Upon receipt of Madden 2000, having seen all of the other great reviews of the product, I opened the box with a high degree of anticipation and prepared to install the software according to manufacturer instructions. After installing the game on a 200 MHz Pentium computer with 64 MB EDO RAM and more than ample HD space, I found that the game would usually crash at the "setup" screen and ALWAYS crash at the opening screen every time I started it. Many attempts to connect to the EA Sports Tech Support WEB page were equally frustrating. An additional attempt to install the game on a 300 MHz AMD K-6 machine with 128 MB SD RAM and Diamond Stealth 3D PRO 3000 video card with 4 MB DRAM left me with a game that ran SO SLOW as to be unplayable. It is presently gathering dust on a shelf until I have another yard sale.
simply the best March 1, 2000 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've been playing madden games since Madden 93 and this by far is the best one so far. You cannot find a more realistic football game out there. Granted, some people may enjoy flashier games such as Blitz. However, this game is for the true football fans out there. It captures many aspects of football that no other game even attempts to do. For anyone who is looking for a REAL football game, this is it.
this game is kinda cool if u havent played NFL 2K on sega DC February 16, 2000 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
i dont know. i bought this game a my dreamcast at around the same time, and its just nothing compared to NFL 2K. the navigation is confusing, i havent been able to play a game over the internet, and cant get it to save past halftime in the second game of my season! i dont know, this game isnt all that, not very fun, and even though i have a bomb ass graphics card (Diamond Viper 32MB Ultra TNT), EA sports seems to customize it to the voodoo series, seeing as how i have to download a burst to accomadate my graphics card, and even then the graphics arent all that impressive. NFL 2K rules! madden 2000 is pretty weak.
