Amazon.com Product Description Inside this bundle you'll find Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon.Spyro the Dragon has bright graphics in six well-developed worlds, each with several subworlds, including bogs, deserts, and ice worlds. Unlike some action games, in Spyro the Dragon the enemies are more fun than frightening. In the Peace Keepers World, for example, Spyro must burn down the monster soldiers' tent, sending one of the minions running out, quaking with fear or, if you're lucky, dropping his drawers and shooting a moon. Spyro: Ripto's Rage improves on the original with superior controls, more colorful and faster graphics, a tighter story, achievable goals, and plenty of gameplay variety. Spyro: Year of the Dragon invites you to jump down the rabbit hole to recover all the eggs stolen from Dragon World by the evil sorceress and her henchmen. It has the cartoonish look, goofy sounds, and scavenger-hunt gameplay of the other two titles. New to the series is the ability to play as Sheila, the kangaroo; Sergeant Byrd, the flying penguin; Bentley, the yeti; and Agent 9, the space monkey.

It's part of my history! October 5, 2008 These games really are part of my early childhood, but I still love them. In 2002, when I was five years old, my dad came home from the video game store with the first one (Spyro The Dragon). I loved it so much that before I could even finish the first one, my dad bought me the second one (Ripto's Rage) and the third one ( Year of the Dragon). Every once in a while, I pull them out again and they're still a bit challenging. These games will always be special to me. Another reason I want to pull them out once in a while is that I've never beaten any of them. The graphics may not be the best, but they are still alot of fun.
They all have cute, easy to follow plotlines. I truly believe that anyone of any age can play them. Even my 43-year-old dad still likes them. I completely and utterly recomend them.
The BEST!!! July 21, 2008 These are the only spyro games worth buying!!!! the others are all TERRIBLE!!! (hero's tail isnt that bad...) These three games bring HOURS of fun! i cannot count the many times i have played these. i recommend spyro to anyone looking to have a good time. :D
good classic fun April 5, 2008 The original Spyro PS1 games are a great combination of exploration, whimsical graphics and treasure collecting fun! These are games that can be enjoyed by all ages - adults and kids alike. I recommend this if you're looking for something relaxing and fun without all of the graphic violence (but still plenty of burning action - I never get tired of flaming those sheep...its just so amusing when they poof into butterflies) or questionable content of most games today. The beginning levels may seem a little simple however they do get more challenging as you go - but not too hard so kids can still enjoy playing. Comparatively, the new Spyro games aren't near as good.

THERE'S NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!! IT'S THE GREASTEST!!! May 16, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am very late in purchasing and playing the Spyro games. It's really good though. The graphics are actually good compared to other playstation 1 games like Tombraider. It's really colorful and its fun to play and you get to experience the beginning instead of playing the 4th or 5th game without knowing the history. Just make sure that when you do buy any playstation 1 games that you get a good playstation 1 memory card. Without it, you cannot save. Other than that, they're great. JUST HAVE FUN!!!!
