Product Description Product DescriptionOmega Stone is a graphical adventure set in the world of archaeology. After years of digging, noted archaeologist, Sir Gil Blythe Geoffreys uncovered a secret chamber and an ancient papyrus scroll overlooked for centuries that revealed the whereabouts of a treasure sought after throughout millennia, the Ark of the Covenant. Further exploration led to the discovery of another prophetic scroll, the contents of which unravels an ominous mystery. Geoffreys calls on you to lead the exploration and examination of the origins of this sacred scroll, the symbols of which point to cultures of great intelligence and refined intellects.

Fun and Difficult Yet Tiresome Too December 8, 2008 I enjoyed the Riddle of the Sphinx so I knew I would enjoy this game. It follows directly on the heels of 'Riddle', picking up where 'Riddle' stopped.
The graphics are amazing to me. The characters are fun and as realistic as possible considering it's a game. The puzzles are difficult but if I can solve them, certainly anyone else can solve the puzzles.
This is a long game with lots of play time involved in it. The big hint that I can give you on this game is save it often. You can die and you will most likely die. It is also useful to save it so you can watch dreams etc again for clues and hints.
This is not a game like Myst where there are several solutions to a puzzle. There is one solution and only one solution. Also, some things you will not be able to do until you solve the puzzle and are ready to move onto the next spot. Because of those two things this game sometimes becomes tedious and tiring.
Other than the fact that you will have seen everything, done everything and you won't be able to move on until you have done it all this is a great game. I completely enjoyed myself.
Sequel to an Egyptian Riddle, Megalithic? No Kidding June 28, 2007 Long and ardous, intrigueing history, of a continuation that was quite difficult to play. Only because the riddles included a bit of logical insight in each undertaking; try The Omega Stone on for size. The graphics and insight are greatly improved. If you do get lost on where to go though, don't forget that Dreamcatcher Games has strategy books for these riddle games that confuse the unwary of a riddle's complexity. Music though sounded better, and tricks more dire.

A very realistic, educational, and fun game! January 5, 2005 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought the first game in this series of two, "Riddle of the Sphinx" (Which I enjoyed very much by the way) and then I bought this game, "The Omega Stone". I liked this game very much because it is very realistic and it looks more like your really there than a 3D game. I also liked it becasue i'm very interested in ancient civilizations. You are able to visit 6 locations in this game; Chichen Itza (a Maya city), Giza Plateau (in Egypt), Stonehenge, Easter Island, the underwater ruins of Atlantis, and the Bermuda Triange. It takes place in the future, (2012 I think) and ends with you just saving a meteor from destroying the planet. The concept is that all these civilizations knew that this was coming and left behind clues and tools to help stop it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game and would recommend it to anyone who likes suspenseful adventure games, puzzles, and/or ancient civilizations. If you do make the choice to buy it, have fun and good luck! :)
