Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Still using your standard controller to motor around the track? Once you wrap your hands around the textured grip of the Logitech Speed Force for the Nintendo GameCube video game system, you'll experience racing the way it is meant to be. Powerful force feedback motors put you right into the middle of the action by letting you feel the road, bumps, walls, and crashes with incredible detail. Welcome to a new generation of racing.

4 out of 5 stars Way Better Than the Original Controller   June 4, 2008
When playing driving games the regular controller falls way short. This wheel is a big improvement, though I need to figure out how to dial it in, it does a pretty good job out of the box. Recommended for anyone who has driving games.

4 out of 5 stars Great Wheel for GameCube Racing Game   April 7, 2008
My son and I have been using it for a couple weeks. We really like it. We are using it to play "Need for Speed - Underground 2" and use it with a Wii. Both the wheel and the game are great!

We have this wheel and the accessory pack that comes with a set of paddels and a knee-mount (to mount the wheel on our knees).

The game automatically recognizes this wheel and self-adjust the wheel for us. We don't need to do a thing. Otherwise, my 7-year-old son may have a problem adjusting the wheel.

Although using a wheel is easier than using a controller and can improve your score in a racing contest, this doesn't mean we can always win over a player that uses a controller. For example, I used the wheel and I forced my 7-year-old son to use the controller, and he won every single race. Oh well...

I cannot give it a perfect score because of the following reasons:

1. It is not wireless. Having all those wires running down my legs just is not very comfortable. And the tangled wires is a mess.

2. It uses left and right levers. I believe it is the style for manual shift in formula-one racing. But it is not the manual stick shift that I would prefer.

Please note that this wheel is hard to find because I believe all the GameCube stuffs are no longer in production.

Now, all I want to know is whether I can use this wheel with the Wii version of "Need for Speed - Pro Street" and the soon-to-be-available "Mario Kart" for Wii.

5 out of 5 stars The BEST wheel I have EVER used!   January 8, 2007

Over the past 25 years of gaming, I have used many different steering wheels for lots of different systems. I always buy a new wheel when it comes out, and most of the time it is only used a few times. But, when I bought THIS wheel, it was different. THIS WHEEL IS GREAT! It doesn't emulate the controller like some wheels do. The GAMES are MADE to work with this controller! I've tried most of the supported games, and they are great! Except Super Mario Kart DD is easier with the standard controller, but it is still MORE FUN with the wheel. I would also get the Gas & brake pedal kit. It adds an unbelievable amount of fun to the game! You will have a great time with this product!

These are some of the games that are made for this wheel.

the wheel is ok, but the steering and gas and brake peals are unproportional. this wheel is the best one for gamecube though and is good. just don't use it to practice driving in real life or u'll be screwed.

5 out of 5 stars Logitech speed Force Wheel   December 26, 2004

I purchased 2 for my son and husband. Both rumble and work perfectly with the racing games such as Need for Speed Underground 2, Nascar 2003 and 2004. Some of the early games cannot be used, but they still love it. The wheels actually feel like you are in a race car with realistic resistance. I recommend this item.
