The last great mechwarrior game June 26, 2008 This was the last great mechwarrior game. Future mechwarrior games were turned into more arcade friendly FPS style games and abandoned most of the simulation and customization of this and earlier titles.
a necessary add-on to Mech 4 May 30, 2008 If you want to expand your Mech universe this is a needed piece of software. It does work on XP and Vista but you have to run it as administrator. This adds the mercenaries viewpoint to your battlemech software.
Fun for different play styles May 20, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I absolutely enjoy this game. In fact, I find myself laughing whenever I get off some really good hits on other mechs. I spend a great amount of time in the mechlab working on my team and making them as effective as possible. I find that you can micromanage as much or little as you want and you'll still be able to beat most of the missions. There are some that are really hard, but it's still enjoyable. I think there's really only one mission that I had to do more than once, but that's because I wanted the bonus cash and kept screwing that part up.
I highly recommend this game for all who want to blow stuff up in a customizable mech.
Fun to Destroy! March 8, 2007 Very fun, I also have Mechwarrior Trilogy. If you like to piloting 100 ton armored Mechs with enough wepons to level a city, then this is the game for you. The fight for money in this version is added fun and the arenas are another fun new twist. If you get a chance grab a Sidewinde joystick for extra piloting control. 5 stars for fun, the overall fun is 4 stars because Microsoft should have incuded the MekPaks for free.
online gamming August 8, 2006 this game has great online gamming if you buy this game make sure you go to www.mektek.net and download the mekmatch because the microsoft zone doesn't work anymore, With this you can find online servers. Updates are also available there. When most get this game they did not know about mektek and it is hard to play online without it.
