A Gamecube Guys Say September 11, 2006 2 out of 9 found this review helpful

HOOWAH!!! More Halo for me and my friends to blow heads off, YEAH, ok I don't have the game (or an X-box for that matter) but I do play this game at my friends house and it is so cool cus Halo is the best Multiplayer ever.
Remember i'm a Gamecube guy and up till now i've been unimprest at the things that X-box has brought us, but this game gives a guy a reson for getting an X-box, and after your the Halo King of your naighberhood take it on line with X-box live.
And by the way if you do have X-box live you can download the maps. But even if you don't, it's worth every penny.
boooo. don't buy this. June 15, 2006 6 out of 18 found this review helpful
Microsoft should have released this as a FREE download on their website the way they do for other games. They essentially are milking you out of even more cash. Booooo. Hissss. Find a friend that has this and have he or she install it on your xbox (your xbox will remember the new maps - you don't need to keep the disc).
Halo 2 - GOOD; Halo 2 MMP - VERY RHETORICAL April 25, 2006 9 out of 18 found this review helpful
Well, it's been about a year and a half since our beloved game came out, and it's been about half a year since this "expansion" came out. I believe this is a total ripoff unless you do not have Xbox Live. ALL of these maps are currently FREE on Xbox Live. No fees. Yes, all nine maps. Free.
This is also a rip with our new friend: "The Halo Triple Pack" which includes this disc. The pack is $50, but you can buy Halo 2 for $20, Halo: CE for $10 at the most, and these maps are free on Live.
I just don't get why this is still as much as it is. You'd think that one would use these maps more on Xbox Live, but they're free there, so why buy this at all? To give Bungie and Microsoft spare change.
Bottom line: These maps are available free. Why buy them for $20?
Buy it only IF you dont have xbox live April 15, 2006 9 out of 13 found this review helpful
I love the new maps and I am fortunate to get them because i dont have live. As mentioned in the title only buy it if you dont have live. People who do can download it for free just to help anyone who is confused.

I bought this disc barely a week after it came out, and if I was impressed then, I am really impressed now. Why? This little wonder retains its value. I initally only liked Turf and Warlock, as my wife and I did not have XBox Live at the time, and most of these maps are designed for HUGE battles, especially Relic and Containment. I still groan when some maps come up (Gemini and Backwash, for example), but this is a matter of personal preference.
Overall, these map great enhance and expand the already-perfect Halo 2 Online experience. Get it.
