I have an 80gb PS3 and this stand does not block any ports. It comes with a usb cord for you to plug into the usb port on your PS3, which then powers the stand its blue color. I have never seen it alternate to red like advertised. Overall, I like this Intec PS3 stand and the light is awesome too.

It looks really cool when used in the dark! Gives a blue glow that you can see even on the ceiling.
It doesn't have any special "function", other than it can hold a controller (not charge it). Great gift for a gamer.

This is a perfect addition to your ps3, mine didnt come with 2 extra usb ports but there was the one and it was in the front so you dont have to lean over the back to plug anything in. Also unless you put this in wrong on your ps3 the 60/80 gb door on the front does open and has no problem of opening it contours the ps3 just right so you dont have that problem but if you put the ps3 2 far back then there wont be enough room.

this is a great addition to you ps3 but it has a flaw. yes it has a piece that can hold your controler but if you look at the pic the curve were the ps3 goes it's on the wrong side. so when you go to hang up your controler, it's behind your system. but the leds in the base are so dam cool. plus USB powered, means you don't have to find a new plug. i love it.

only has two small blue lights on the front side. and it has extra power hole. its pretty lame and my on switch was funky. But i already ordered it so i have no choice. it still looks ok though. the only one i could find for the ps3.
