 Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit with Black Controller July 12, 2008
I bought this bundle as a video game deal-of-the-day recently. I already had a white wireless controller and play & charge kit and I definitely enjoyed the freedom of wireless controllers. These kits are great because you don't have to keep buying new batteries or swapping rechargeable ones. I just play, and when I'm done I just plug them into my PC USB ports to charge, so I don't have to leave my 360 on. (These charge kits DO NOT WORK as PC controllers -- only for charging. Silly, eh?)
The deal of the day was for $45. An added benefit was that it was the black bundle, so the controller stands out amongst the many white ones that most people have. I have had no problems thus far and am glad I bought this bundle at the discounted price. I probably would not buy it at full price, though.

The battery pack is much more convenient than reloading batteries all the time. Also, it comes with the pack to use standard batteries, if you need it. If you buy this product get it from amazon.com, you WILL pay more going to your local walmart or gamestore.

You get a controller and a charging unit bundled together here.
As far as the Play and Charge Kit is concerned...
This is a must have with your 360 and a controller.
You can plug it in via USB to your Xbox 360 and charge the included battery pack while you play your game.
You can also remove your battery pack, and plug the cable directly to your 360 for wired gaming (so your controller won't shut off while you are in the middle of that hired driver Forza race.
This charges via any USB port on your 360, your computer, your cable box, or your dog (if he has included USB hub).
I recommend buying one of these, then buying the Quick Charge Kit. Then you'll have 2 battery packs, the quick charge dock, and a USB charge cable.
As far as the controller is concerned, it's a great color, and is your typical xbox 360 controller otherwise. Great ergonomics and fits in your color scheme whether you have the black or white console.

What can I say its a basic XBOX 360 controller with a battery pack. I did have a little trouble at first getting the controller to turn on. I initially had to hold down the button for like 30 seconds but after that one time its been working like normal.

This controller is my fourth wireless Xbox 360, and like all my other ones, this performs flawlessly. The wireless connection with the Xbox always works and has never dropped on me once. The battery works well and the charging cord is convenient. I highly recommend this controller. Wireless gaming is amazing, and this controller will give you that.
