From the Manufacturer
When One Man Is Not Enough…

It will take an Army of Two to stop the corruption of rogue private military corporations. Fight along side your team-mate to become the deadliest two-man military outfit a government can buy. The breakthrough gameplay in Army of Two, with a live or adaptive AI partner, enables you to take advantage of two-man strategies like customizable weapons, vehicles, and tactical shooting. If you're going to survive, you'll have to bring down a vast conspiracy in which the line between `good guys' and `bad guys' has been obliterated.

1 out of 5 stars Controls are a disaster   August 19, 2008
The controls on this game are terrible, and there are no options to reassign the buttons. game play is just annoying when you can accurately control your character or your aim. I bought this game to play co-op and it is ok for that but really annoying to work your way through the level the agro is just a dumb idea....

3 out of 5 stars Good for Two   June 23, 2008

First, my opinion is based on having played the off line coop mode of this game only. At first I hated the game play. I am all for teamplay and a little strategy in a game, but I felt it a bit much when you can't jump, catch a ledge and pull yourself up for example. You need to step up with your partner. You also need your partner for opening doors, passage ways etc.

Also as mentioned here, the enemies can really take a bullet or 10. I've shot guys down in mid sprint took aim at the next one only to see the guy I just shot up and sprinting to cover where he will camp out and blind fire for quite a while. Speaking of sprinting I wish there was a sprint button! More on the aiming, I don't have much of an issue there except for when they camp out behind cover and blind fire and blind fire then blind fire some more. It's hard too hit them while they are blind firing and it also takes a lot of bullets to take them down. Which usually left me out of ammo.

THEN I discovered the joys of upgrading my guns. I can't really call it customizing because there seems to be just one "Pimp" option for your guns (which makes them look pretty snazzy, I have a gold AK47 myself). You can max out your weapons so they become more powerful, accurate and carry more ammo which makes killing the baddies easier and more enjoyable. One cool feature is your GPS which tells you where to go so it keeps the "where do we go" times to a minimum. Also pressing R1 (PS3) automatically points you in the direction of your team mate. Handy when he is dying and you need to get to him quick fast in a hurry.

Bottom line, if you like FPS AND enjoy coop play then chances are you will have some fun with this game. If at first it feels crappy do what I did, give it a chance to redeem itself. I've yet to finish it (can't play as often as I wish), but I am now enjoying it.

3 out of 5 stars Looks like a lot of fun... can be difficult at first   June 16, 2008
If you like a bit of a challenge this is for you. I bought it for my boyfriend; he plays it with my son and have a ball! They get to be partners in Army of Two... and from what I hear if you play on one player it has excellent A.I.- predicts what you will do and feels like you have a friend playing it with you. When you first start there's "training".... without that it would be really hard because there are so many moves and button combos to learn, but definately a great buy!

3 out of 5 stars short game   June 12, 2008
this game is awesome and the graphics are great but the game is absolutly way too short. Im not a hard core gamer, so when i can beat a game in a couple of days, something is wrong there. i just cant believe they expect us to pay 60 bucks on something that only lasts for a couple of days. the games is awesome like i said but it could be the best game that is out there and still not worth it if there is no challenge. the story line was very much like a movie and that is what kept me going through out the game but at the end i didnt even kill clide or dawlton the computer did it in a automatic screen play. That pissed me off cuz if i want to play a game that usually means that i want to beat it too. it ended like a bad movie to me. i paid 30 bucks for this game so im not too mad, but i would never pay full price for it, it is just not worth the money to me.

3 out of 5 stars Good game with good overall tatse aka Average!   May 31, 2008
I waited a long time inorder to really give a good review but not even worth my typing to do so. This game is not a bummer or great, it is average. It is so hard to play games like COD4 and Uncharted, then turn back to games like Army of Two. This game sits in the middle as far as graphics, sound and overall quality. There is no point going into great detail just to give you the same conclusion: AVERAGE. By all means please rent this game or buy at a super discount if you just want to add to your collection.
