The game is amazing worth the money!!!!! August 13, 2008 The game is amazing because of the wireless guitar. The guitar is really awesome but really hard to take out for me The point is that the game is like having a concert in your room
Can't Play Guitar But Can Rock with GH3 August 3, 2008 My introduction to Guitar Hero was at a friends' and I instantly was addicted to staring at colored circles falling down a screen. I tried to learn to play a guitar many years ago and found it difficult and time-consuming, though I did enjoy the results, but I knew I was never going to be able to play the songs I really enjoy. I can feel that musical joy with Guitar Hero 3. The great thing is that there is a challenging level for anyone and you can always spend more time on a song perfecting the Star Power locations to maximize your score before moving up to the next harder level of play. I've found that Medium is easier than Easy because more notes fall in line with the song where as Easy skips so many notes that it can be more difficult to play, especially if you play by ear. There are songs for everyone with pop, rock, and heavy metal (which I don't care to listen to, but have the most challenging finger play). If you like music you will enjoy this game immensely.

I'm a novice, but I think this is fun! July 30, 2008 This is my first Guitar Hero purchase for a brand new PS3 system. I have never owned another console, only playing video games on the PC. So, I have nothing to compare this version to. Having said that, I think this is loads of fun. I've had some issues with the green button working correctly all the time. A friend who has played GH for a long time on PS2 with multiple versions tried my game and suggested I have a bad connection between the neck and the body of the guitar. So far, this problem has not caused me to stop playing or smash the guitar out of frustration. It is just a bit annoying. I don't know what the song lists are like for the other versions, and I'll be the first to admit that I am very un-hip when it comes to popular music, but I was a little disappointed in the song selection. I was hoping for more songs that I recognized (which in my opinion are easier to play). On a side note, I also purchased the 80's version of the game for the PS2 (since it is currently unavailable for the PS3). My PS3 is is backwards compatible and I was told at the store that it would work. However, this guitar will not play the game. That was very disappointing!!! The bottom line for me is that if you are looking for a distration from your life, this is some good entertainment for about an hour a day. After that, my hands start to cramp. (I may be developing carpal tunnel syndrome.) I'm looking forward to more versions for the PS3.
Great Fun! July 29, 2008 For all of you who played guitar with a tennis raquet in front of the TV watching rock music videos on Mtv in the 80's, like i did, this game is for you.
