1 out of 5 stars Pure Junk - hardware unreliable - total dookie   July 5, 2008
I purchased a system - went to use it the very first time and the DVD drive wouldn't even open - this thing is a total piece of &*%#. Don't waste your money buying one of these pieces of junk - I'm hoping I can return mine, sell off the games I bought and go buy a Playstation 3 - this system reeks - if you want something that's going to definitely breakdown, then this pice of junk is the ticket - maybe you can save some time and just take a match and set your money on fire, because if you buy one of these pieces of junk, it'll end up that way ..... garbage - complete and total garbage.

2 out of 5 stars I do not suggest   July 5, 2008

ok well the xbox 360 had a rough start with the RROD issue and it just might start getting rougher. even though microsoft for the most part has fixed the RROD problem the game lineup for 2008-2009 is signifigantly week with the only games possibly comming out being gears of war 2 and halo wars and being only $50 less then the more powerful and better looking ps3 which has a very intense game lineup for 2008-2009 i do not suggest the xbox 360

3 out of 5 stars System lasted 2 1/2 years...   July 4, 2008
The Bad:

About 1 year prior, I was having a problem with the Eject function where I would have to manually push the disk carriage in order to open it. Also, the system is so noisy that the sound resembles my air conditioner. These are minor gripes however. The main issue was that after only 2 and a half years, I received the dreaded 3 red lights and the system was never able to start up again.

The Good:

The generous 3-star rating is a result of the fun I had since 2006, playing classic games like Elder Scrolls - Oblivion, Gears of War, Fight Night 3, Forza Motorsports 2, and that wonderful sci-fi interactive movie masterpiece called Mass Effect. Luckily I still have my ps2 to play my dvds. I won't be purchasing a 360 any time soon, at least not until Mass Effect 2 is released.. and hopefully by that time, it will be multi-platform.

5 out of 5 stars For Gaming, this is the System to Own   July 1, 2008
I picked up the Xbox 360 after sitting on the fence about it for a little over 18 months after its release. If you are looking for the premier system for gaming this generation the 360 is the one to own. It has the best game library and probably the best gaming infrastructure behind it in Xbox Live.

The system runs excellent if not a little loud due to the fan. I have the system hooked up via HDMI to my TV and it works very well. Additional features such as the media capabilities to stream media from your PC to the box are nice. The real strength as I said is in Xbox Live. The achievement and profile system work very well and encourage you to really dig into your games. Online play via Xbox Live is extremely smooth and works very well.

Simply put the game library is also one of the biggest generation and has a little bit of something for everyone.

1 out of 5 stars Never received!   June 29, 2008

I ordered the xBox but it never showed up. Communication at first was decent but then it has dropped off. Excuses and never even received my money back. Be careful of this person. Do not bid with this person, purchase, trust, etc. I got screwed out of $350. - Jeff Yalden
