Great Game May 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It may be a wee bit older now, but that means it is no less fun. Shoot your friends or complete strangers in the face with a Medic's shotgun, and then get blown up completely by a Sniper's claymore. Have fun with this one!
Great single player fun March 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I really enjoy this game. There are about 10 missions that I see in the single player option. I've gone through 3 so far in about 3 weeks and have enjoyed them all. The AI of your team members is pretty good, although sometimes suicidal. There are lots of vehicle and armor options that allow for each play of a mission to be different than the last. The visuals are good, although for 2008 may be a bit dated. I have a fairly new Dell Dual processing chip with 2meg ram and it handles it easily. It is not a memory hog at all, at least for my machine. My only complaint is that the personal weapon choices are not as great as I had with other games. But that's minor compared to all else.
Battlefield 2 March 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game with most amazing online fights, plus the high quality sound and graphic effects, it makes playing it like living it. The graphics are more than adequate for its release date (2006) and yet some graphics cards wont handle it 100%. Some remarkable aspects about the graphics are the shadows, the lighting and the water.
But talking about the multiplayer, we can see that its a mixture of action, strategy, and a bit of RPG. Players can unlock new ranks and weapons playing online. The game is a war between the US marines and the MEC (Arab), or the US marines vs. the PLA (Chinese) depending the map, which are only 12.
The gameplay is superb, but can be also frustrating.
The good: -Large scale gaming -Vehicles and reemplaced weapons -Squads and commanders -Different weapon kits (can be taken from a downed soldier) -Nice maps
The bad: -Players are not given any time for protection after spawning -Can be hard to find someone -Some glitches from wich you can take advantage of
It's Well Worth The Price March 12, 2008 This is one of the best FPS games I've played. The graphics are good, and the enviroments are cool. They also provide a good range of weapons and vehicles, some creating very fun possibilities. (As a medic, you can kill enemies by zapping them with your shock paddles)
It also provides a good challenge, without being impossible. I've only ever played single player, too, and I here it's much better online.
My only complaint is that there isn't a campaign. I understand it isn't that kind of game, but it still would have made it funner.
Good time waster! February 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've wasted a lot of time with this game, but had a lot of fun too! Get the DVD version though as the CD version has 3 CDs to install, and well, that's just old hat these days ;)
