Fun game, cheap thrills, GTA it is not January 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bullet time style game play, amusing for small periods of game play, but loses it's appeal after a few hours. It gets repetitive and uninventive after you jump-killed the same looking guys over and over. It is fun, don't get me wrong, I'm just saying it's not a game that you can play for long periods of times without getting bored. Just cause is another game like this one that is fun for short periods of time, but the side quests and missions begin to lose their appeal as they are very uninspired.
Cheap Thrills July 5, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Total Overdose is a fun game if you're looking for fast first-person shooter action and aren't bothered by a "shallow" game. This game isn't built on plot, and I don't think it's one of those ones you would want to re-play many times. However, it is pretty fun and not terribly challenging. If the racial stereotypes, immature main character, gratuitous near-nudity, and senseless violence don't bother you, it's not a bad game! The game is not nearly as detailed or "deep" as, for example, Grand Theft Auto, but the gameplay is a lot faster and the main story/quest line develops quickly.
