One of the best Barbie games! July 30, 2008 My daughter absolutely loves this game and it is one of her favorites! It's filled with fun and creative activities and lasts a lot longer than most Barbie games do. The graphics are not very advanced, but that does not matter because they are very beautiful and, in my opinion, truly make the game look like a fairy tale adventure. My daughter prefers these classic graphics over those of "Secret Agent Barbie" and "Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses". She had no difficulty moving Erika around. We did receive a couple of errors. One was during the activity where the stained-glass windows are created, but we restarted the game and it took us right where my daughter left off. We did not receive this error after that. Please note that we might have gotten this error because we run the game on Windows Vista. The second error that occured and others have mentioned was during the activity where Erika has to find three singers for the concert. As long as you give the flowers to the right singers you will not get this error. Other than those two errors, the game works perfectly fine on Windows Vista. I highly recommend this game. I do not think your child will be at all dissapointed!
Wonderful Game December 19, 2006 My six year old LOVES this game! She has played it over and over and keeps getting better at it. I am so impressed with the graphics and I like the challenges that make her think. ie. making pathways with logs, using colors to decode...stuff like that. I highly recommend this.
Long game, with lots of repeats and can't finish! November 4, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I just got this game for my 4.5 year old daughter. I played with her all day yesterday; I was happy to see that it was more challenging than the other Barbie games she has (Rapunzel and Swan Lake - both very good but a bit short and very easy). We hit a few tiny bugs that forced us to exit from a task and re-start it, but nothing too bad... until the BIG ONE. I had read that other peopple had experienced that bug, when Erika has to give flowers to three village singers and the game gives us an error message "Lip mgr.play...no loaded lip synch data" and takes us out of the game. Very frustrating! I went to the support web site indicated in the booklet, and after being re-directed to another support company site, I saw that they have other Barbie games, but don't even list this one! So NO online support whatsoever, and apparently no way to fix that bug... Apart from the bug, I would say that overall the game is good, with very pretty graphics, good navigation and good character interactions. On the negative side, 18 tasks are too many for a small girl, especially since many involve redoing the same actions (moving and grooming a cat, making banners, etc). Even before we hit the big bug, my daughter was starting to be bored and antsy. Being able to choose 2 levels of lengths/tasks would have been a big plus.
Best for 8 years old kids November 3, 2006 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Beloved game for any 8 years old kids. Younger or older will love it too. I definitely would recommend it to anyone who asks about it.
Wow! I'm impressed.......... September 30, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My 8 year old girl has several Disney princess games and they're stupid, so I was skeptical about this. Way better then Disney. It's an excellent game, my daughter plays all the time. In fact the whole family likes to play it. From my 3 year old son to my "tough guy" husband. We like decorating cakes and making stain glass windows in a thousand different ways. The graphics, color, and sound are great. I highly recommend it. We have not experienced a bug like another reviwer did. I have not experienced that on any of my games.
