| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Now you'll never again miss an urgent call or fax because your phone line is tied up while you're online. Emerson Switchboard works like a phone service "switchboard" to share one phone line for phone calls, fax and the internet. No more frustrating busy signals for friends and family calling you - no more busy signals for faxes - no more limiting computer time and no wasted money (and monthly fees) on an additional phone line. The Emerson Switchboard temporarily splits your phone signal into three separate lines - Computer, Phone, and Fax. There's no software needed and no installation - it works automatically. Get a quick phone call or fax while you're online Works with ANY computer, internet service or phone line Won't affect modem speed Caller ID compatible Instant connections for phone line, computer, fax and telephone ? no software needed, no installation required No extra phone jacks or wiring needed Rings and flashes with an incoming call Simply answer the phone ? while you are online

Only Lasts a Short Time August 28, 2004 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've bought 4 this year. Each last a couple of months before "breaking". 1 won't let you know when a call is coming (no ring). 1 won't connect at anything faster than 28.8 anymore. The other 2 give false rings and always disconnect you when it picks up a ring (false or not no matter if you only stay on for 5 seconds). Each used to work good in the beginning. Now they are junk. If you want to buy, buy from someplace with a good return policy and save your receipt - your going to need it.
