Product Description Assassin's Creed is the next-gen game developed by Ubisoft Montreal that will redefine the action genre. While other games claim to be next-gen with impressive graphics and physics, Assassin's Creed merges technology, game design, theme, and emotions into a world where you instigate chaos and become a vulnerable, yet powerful, agent of change. The setting is 1191 AD. The Third Crusade is tearing the Holy Land apart. You, Altair, intend to stop the hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict. You are an Assassin, a warrior shrouded in secrecy and feared for your ruthlessness. Your actions can throw your immediate environment into chaos, and your existence will shape events during this pivotal moment in history. Next-gen gameplay - The proprietary engine developed from the ground up for the next-gen console allows organic game design featuring open gameplay, intuitive control scheme, realistic interaction with environment, and a fluid, yet sharp, combat mechanic. Limited Edition Contents - Collectible 3-inch Altair Figure Penny Arcade Comic Mini Strategy Guide Bonus Disc - Winner's of Assassin's Creed short film contest, behind-the-scenes videos, developer diaries, trailers, producer interviews, downloads and more

Expected a much better game... February 26, 2008 This game was fun at first, but honestly it's one of those games you love from the beginning, but then becomes very boring.
Alot of the assassination missions seem the same, and I just found that too bland. I bought the limited edition of both this and Mass Effect the same day. After killing 4 of the 9, I got sick of the game and ended up playing Mass Effect 3 times through (doing majority of the side quests and visiting planets each time, as well as reaching level 60).
I've noticed MANY glitches in this game, such as Altair's arm sucking into his body out of no where, or slowly sliding down a wall. Even enemies walking onto a roof then falling off only to continuously repeat itself.
The gameplay is meh, and the camera tends to irritate me. It might be great for others, but bothers me.
Also, this is the biggest Limited Edition rip off I've ever seen.
The box is bigger than the average 360 L.E. versions of games, yet offers the least.
The art book feels like its 2 pages thick, and the toy is as small as a lighter. And of coarse the standard for all L.E. versions of games, the bonus DVD. BUT THAT'S ALL THAT COMES IN THAT HUGE CASE!
It's not a terrible game, but it's not a classic either.
If you're looking for something fun yet challenging, get Devil May Cry 4.
If you want to play a game that requires attention to detail and alot of things to do and has a great story, get Mass Effect.
And if you want to just spend alot of time playing the world in multiplayer, get Call Of Duty 4.
My son loves it February 13, 2008 Bought this game for my son on Christmas and He loves it so much, the graphics are great and best of he really enjoyed it.
THE BEST!! January 7, 2008 Simply awesome,... cant wait for the second one,... and by the looks of the ending, there without a doubt, WILL BE!!
Truely A Game That Deserves To Be Played .... Best In Its Genre January 7, 2008 This Game Is Beyond Any Open Ended Game Has Ever Ventured. Beautiful Graphics Promote Amazing Gamplay Which Is Both Initiutive & Easy To Pick Up . A Great Story That Pulls You In From Start To Finish . A 10/10 In My Books
Excellent concept, poor execution January 2, 2008 This game has some great gameplay concepts, however it's designers made some grave mistakes during development. If you can get around to some of the seriously lackluster and repetitive missions, the game is overall pretty nice. Beware though, the ending of this game is horrible.. does not explain the story well at all.
