Only a few flaws December 3, 2008 I chose the G11 over the G15 because I didn't like the thought of having to give up my spinning volume wheel from the old Logitech Elite. Sadly, the volume wheel on the G11 is much worse than on the Elite. It has barely any tactile feedback, which would normally not be a problem, except that it is completely smooth save for a tiny bump you can barely feel. I had to adjust to pressing down harder on it to get it to even turn.
I ran into a small snag with the media keys and controlling iTunes. By default, they would only control iTunes if it had focus (this may be iTune's fault). I had to get a plugin to fix this (get mmkeys.dll and use it as a plugin).
The only other quibbles I have with the keyboard have been mentioned a bunch of times already: it takes getting used to coming from using a regular sized keyboard, and strange alignment of esc key with left edge of main keys.
Other than this, I am very satisfied with this keyboard.
Good keyboard if you have space December 1, 2008 Pros: -Back light with 3 brightness levels (off, low, high) -Macro buttons are a nice feature, simplifies several button presses to one -Can turn the volume down with a dial on the center of the keyboard -key strokes are quiet
Cons: -Back light is uneven, some spots are brighter or darker than others -It's HUGE, very wide, there isn't enough space in my keyboard tray for the keyboard and mouse pad any longer
Great Keyboard November 22, 2008 I am a light gamer and really enjoy this keyboard. the extra buttons make it an awesome choice for playing games and the media options at the top are handy. You also can't beat 2 extra USB ports on the top. Its extremely comfortable for long sessions on the computer and doesn't make my wrist or fingers uncomfortable. I really can't think of a flaw in the keyboard yet.
Six Stars, GKeys Rock November 11, 2008 I don't game but I'm on the computer all day working with ether AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sony Vegas, Quicken, Excel just to name a few of the programs that I will write little Macros for. You can really save a lot of time especially in AutoCAD and Illustrator. It's super fast to right new ones or change ones that you have already written. Couldn't live with out this keyboard. Sonjco
This is awesome November 1, 2008 I have been gaming with this for a while now...and the extra Gkeys are well worth it.. I had a Logitech elite before until it got drunk to death.. Aye ale and a keyboard do not mix..there was no saving it. So when I went to get another I saw this, and I absolutely love the blue back lighting, to the keys, can play without a light, and the extra Gkeys a must for gaming..the ease of use, for anything, not just gaming.. All in all its a definite 5, if this one went I'd replace it with another one..Why pay more for the little screen, who actually uses that when their playing on-line.. This one in my opinion is the better of the two..for the price even better. I recommend this to anyone, and especially for gamers..
