Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The Eclipse II keyboard gives you a choice of purple, red and blue backlighting colors, which are adjustable via a dimmer mechanism. Key characters and keypad illuminate making the Eclipse II ideal for use in any lighting environment. Solidly constructed from high quality materials and stylish silver casing (included), the Eclipse II's weighted base and large area rubber feet keep it firmly planted to the desk while cushioned. Silent keys mean hours of fatigue-free use.

5 out of 5 stars Great keyboard   August 29, 2008
I had an Eclipse I at my old work and loved it. Strangely these days, the keyboards from the major brands almost seem designed to irritate their users. Crazy alignment of keys and poor tactile feedback are the primary culprits. The main reason I got the Eclipse was because it had a nice touch. Perhaps it's sentimental, but the touch reminds me somewhat of the Apple II keyboard, though a bit lighter. Combine the nice touch with the perfect layout, and the keyboard was a winner and served me well for a couple years. My only complaint was that it didn't have media control buttons, only volume.

When I needed a keyboard for the new office, I decided to go with the Eclipse II. It was a gamble because I was afraid that they might have messed up something from the Eclipse I, but I wanted the media control buttons. Fortunately, now that I've used it for a couple weeks, I am perfectly happy with it. It has all the positive aspects of the Eclipse I, and more.

5 out of 5 stars Top Notch keyboard   August 28, 2008
Amazing keyboard! it's quality is so good, keys are silent, really cool backlights, with different colors to go with your setup, i personally like red. the only downside is that it has no macro keys.

really great product! i would buy it again, but i doubt i will, because this one will last me a long time!

5 out of 5 stars This is the best keyboard I have ever owned...   August 25, 2008
This keyboard fulfills nearly all of my needs and desires for a keyboard.

The weight is great. The lighted keys are great (and the reason I bought it). The touch of the keys are perfect for me.

I've used a lot of keyboards and never found one until now that really suits me...

I found it difficult to get working through a KVM. Connecting it directly to each computer first (so the software loads from the keyboard to the computer) and then connecting to the KVM seems to solve the problem.

3 out of 5 stars Not too bad   August 17, 2008
The only problem I have with this keyboard is that the lighting behind the keys is not even. Some keys are still hard to see with the room dark

5 out of 5 stars A great find   August 1, 2008
I have been having problems with keyboards lately, either how the keys feel when you type, how well they were manufactured, or just the overall look. This is my first keyboard with illuminated keys and I wanted to try it out since most of the time I type either in the dark or dim lights on in the room. I got this keyboard for only $49.99 with the Amazon Prime discount and it's definitely worth it. I love how the keys feel when you type and it actually lets me type faster and more accurately than with the past 3 keyboards I had. I like the purple lighting the best! I find that most products have red and blue as an effect but not usually purple. I like how you can change the light settings. I will definitely be using this keyboard for quite awhile!
