I hate to bring down a star rating, but... January 3, 2009 I purchased this to plug into the back of my grandmother's digital photo album. Like every Kingston product I have ever used, it was simple, quick, and got the job done. The only thing I don't like about this particular model is that the plug-in portion slides out. Nifty, right? Well, for some reason, I couldn't get it to lock and it took 5 minutes of finesse pushing it in to get it to register and stick in the USB port. What's the point if it keeps recessing? I ended up needing another flash drive, for the other grandmother, and purchased a kingston that doesn't retract and had great success.
I like it... December 12, 2008 Didn't use it THAT much yet, maybe 4 or 5 times, but seems to work fine, speed is good. The male usb connector retracts inside, which is good, but when retracted it's still open to the outside environment at the tip, so if you carry this in your pocket or purse i can see something like lint getting into it, which may or may not be a problem. But as far as USB drives go, it's average and it works.
quality product - good value November 10, 2008 Have purchased several of these to give to clients. Nice quality, no cap to get lost, indicator light confirms connection.
Just what the Dr. ordered September 16, 2008 I have used(still use) Kingston flash drives in the past. No surprise that this product lived up to my expectations. Fast data transfer and very easy to use. Love the retractable tip. No pre-loaded apps. I can always password folders and files if needed.
Ready to use in Windows Vista Home Premium August 30, 2008 Got this flashdrive for free when I signed up for the Amazon Prime. Have no problems using it since then, and it's ready to use once you plug in to the computer. The only annoying part is the retractable USB plug, which seems to be useless because the USB connector would pop back out when I put the flashdrive in my pocket. Overall, it's still a nice accessory to carry around in your pocket.
