Amazon.com Product Description The Sennheiser PX 100 Headphones use dynamic supra-aural mini headphones and a slim, lightweight design to provide convenience and superior sound to the traveler or outdoor user. Sennheiser's duoful diaphragms with spiral embossing provide high-resolution sound, while the twin damping technology creates crisp, fast bass response, helped by 80ppi polyurethane and special perforated elements. The ear cups can be turned 90 degrees and closed up, then put into a rugged carrying case that can fit into a shirt pocket. The included headband padding helps provide the perfect, snug fit for your head.

Excellent sound for this price range, negligable build quality August 18, 2008 I actually ordered these by accident, but I gave them a try since the packing was not the infamous blister type. The sound quality as everyone has said was quite good for this price range. The bass is a little overemphasized, the midrange wasn't to shabby (didn't feel impactful), and the trebles had a very sweet sound. I didn't find the signature to be incredibly detailed which may contribute to the overall warm sweet sound these cans are known for. The soundstage was quite expansive for this range (as should be expected with open cans) Unfortunately, during my trial of these, I noticed that the jack connection was loose. It looks like a got a defective unit but I feel that the wires are little too thin for my liking. The jack is probably the most failure prone part. I'm a little disappointed that sennheiser gave into the iphone craze and changed the jack design. They should stick with a L jack for... Anyways, returned them since the durability is questionable. I think I'll go with portapros.
Comfortable and compact August 14, 2008 I like these a lot. Sound is good, phones are comfortable and fold up easily. Recommended!
A hiden treasure - worth it! Buy it, no regrets August 14, 2008 The first thing you'll notice is the rich bass sound instead of those cheapo headphones that come in a mp3 player. I was reluctant to buy this "collapsible or foldable headphones" but nothing is perfect in life, treat your headphones with care and have long life for your investment. Has a braille like three dots at left side (awesome!) so you can "see" the correct position.
Pro's: *Rich sound, good bass response *Convenient carrying case *Good brand, average price.
Cons's: *Small plugin, should be more strong and better grip. *1.4m cable lenght, I would like a bit large cord (1.8m maybe). *The cord seems to be thinner in comparison with other brands.
Final Thoughts....
Buy it! you will rediscover your music again!.
Wow! These Are Unbelieveable! August 7, 2008 Just received my pair of Sennheiser PX-100 headphones and I must say they have greatly exceeded my expectations so far for an inexpensive set of headphones. I am not an audiophile, I'm just a guy that likes to listen to all kinds (not rap) of good music while I'm on my PC. These phones are light on my head, comfortable, and the sound they produce is amazing. I can see why they receive such high ratings. I'll admit.... I was skeptical of the glowing reviews I read while I was searching Amazon trying to decide what to buy. I looked at EVERYTHING from Grado to Koss to Sony to Audio Technica and Sennheiser ranging in price from $30 to over $125 which I figured was high enough to get a good set of headphones. I finally decided on the Sennheiser PX-100s for two reasons: (1)they were getting great reviews and were the #1 seller according to Amazon, and (2) they were among the least expensive... meaning a low initial investment and also that I could resell or return them if I wasn't satisfied. Well, not only am I satisfied, I am absolutely delighted with the quality of sound coming from these phones. I don't anticipate needing the portability of them but I can see that they will fold up very nicely for anyone who wants to use them on the go. This was a great purchase that far exceeds my expectations. I highly recommend them.
GREAT! August 7, 2008 Bought 4 pair. Everyone in the family had to have them after listening to Mom's. Best thing out there for the price.Sennheiser PX 100 Collapsible Headphones
