Amazon.com Product Description The Sennheiser PX 100 Headphones use dynamic supra-aural mini headphones and a slim, lightweight design to provide convenience and superior sound to the traveler or outdoor user. Sennheiser's duoful diaphragms with spiral embossing provide high-resolution sound, while the twin damping technology creates crisp, fast bass response, helped by 80ppi polyurethane and special perforated elements. The ear cups can be turned 90 degrees and closed up, then put into a rugged carrying case that can fit into a shirt pocket. The included headband padding helps provide the perfect, snug fit for your head.
Product Description The headphones that are included when you buy a personal stereo player may not be the best performers around. You can get much better sound by upgrading to a better headphone. Take this Sennheiser PX100 as an example. An open design, these lightweight and small headphones deliver amazingly good, punchy sound with good bass response. The PX100 folds down so you can carry it with you virtually anywhere. Crisp and fast bass response due to system twin damping Easily replaceable ear pads and headband padding

These are the best headphones you can get for under $40 October 10, 2008 Two years ago I needed to purchase a new pair of headphones to use while at my computer. I had a cheap $10 pair of supra-aural headphones and anytime I'd wear them longer than an hour I'd either get a headache or my ears would hurt like hell. I was considering buying an expensive pair of DJ style headphones since I listen to music so much throughout my day, but I couldn't afford them. So I did a little research on the internet and came across these. I was skeptical when I read all the gushing reviews about how great these were, figuring a $30 pair of headphones can't possibly be that much better than the $10 pair I'd had. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of these headphones. I've had these on my head for 6, 7, even 8 hours straight and have never once had to take them off due to discomfort. They are very light, they are extremely comfortable, and the sound quality is unmatched for anything under $40.
Excellent Headphones. Only One Fault So Far. October 9, 2008 I just received these yesterday, and have been listening to them for many hours. (I'm totally addicted to listening to music.) I bought them based on a magazine review, user reviews on Amazon, and also after trying numerous models of the same lightweight type of Sony headphones priced all the way up to $59. I am not disappointed. The sound of the Sony's had distortions, and I disliked all of them, but these are perfecly clear and rich sounding. Very comfortable too. There's no limit to how much I can listen to these. My only complaint about them is the connector. I guess if it were gold-plated that would help since it seems to with my other headphones, but these don't have a gold-plated connector, so sometimes if I bump the connector while I'm listening to my Walkman or Sandisk MP3 players, the sound and volume lose traction and I have to turn the connector back and forth in the MP3 player to restore full sound. It doesn't happen often, and I am able to carry my Walkman around in my pocket with no problem, but with the cheap Sandisk player the connector sticks out on the side and gets bumped and pressed on a lot, so I'm feeling like I don't even want to use that player any more. But overall, I think these are as good as my best sounding headphones, which are the Sony mdr-ex32lp and Sony mdr-ex71sla earplug style headphones. I wear the Sony's during the day, especially if I'm outdoors or on public transportation where they block a lot of ambient noise with their earplug design. But at night or if my ears are wet, the Sennheiser's are perfect. The foldability and travel case are really nice too. Looks easy to do, and the case looks like high quality, so I think I will take these along when I travel, in addition to my Sony's, for convenience at night when my ears are wet after taking a shower.
good value October 8, 2008 Not bad for the dollar. Hoping for a little better quality based on some reviews I read.
Ear cushions fall off all the time October 7, 2008 PROS:
The sound quality is very good for the price. They collapse easily, I have it down to about 20 secs.
CONS:
The ear cushions fall off all the time. I finally lost one.
Bottom line: If they included a couple of extra ear cushions (that would cost them $.10 extra) I would give this a four star rating.
Not a good deal October 2, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The sound is ok, not great. The connector is the cheapest that I have ever seen and I doubt it will hold up even under moderate use. For the price I expected a lot better sound, but it is not any better than the $9 sony mdr model. Spend less if you are just looking for a pair of headphones or spend a little more if you want something with superior sound.
