Wonderful! August 12, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have played this game with a "Free Trial" version and it is the most fun game I'v ever played! Even more fun than Zoo Tycoon 2. The only problem though is, that this game can get boring fast and it's more fun to play with friends and take turns going over casing and discussing treatments. Without friends, it can get boring with the same cases once you've beaten the game. Otheriwse, it's extremly fun. The graphics arn't to bad, so their not really nasty, but the humans can't talk right. They look funny so the graphics arn't the best. Still though, for fun I rate this five. My friends and I kept making pitiful mistakes and we kept joking how we might kill the animal! Anyone who is from the ages of 9-14 (maybe older because my twenty year old sister pushed me off the chair so she could play) will LOVE it! I hope I get enough money to buy the full version soon!
One Of My Favorite PC Games! April 24, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I want to be a vet when I grow up , so I highly appricate this game. First you get to choose a name ( Dr. ) and then an office. Then there's a zoo map where you see animals that need help. You can also visit other exhibits just to see those animals too. Once you complete te game , you can unlock other offices. This game is better than Vet Emergancy 2. It can be hard though , so use the easy mode and work your way up!
Less interesting than Miami Animal Police March 30, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The zoo vet concept is that you are a zoo veterinarian. You can interview the keepers and to indentify tha animals' medical problem so they are healthy.
Zoo vet is based on real life cases and over 30 medical tools. You have lots of cases in between. A manic zebra, a camel that must be readied for transport to another zoo.
Zoo vet has very important skills to learn ( specific injuries and how to ask good diagnostic questions to find if there is anything out of the ordinary( is that otter's temperature normal. If you or your child wants to be a vet, this is the best veterinay game for you. Me( 11 years old had always wanted to be an Animal Collection Officer from the RSPCA in England like Melissa or Amanda- this will be better than Disneyland and I love it.
But, wanting to play a fun game I spotted several diadvantages
1( There are three difficulty levels at over 30 cases. The fun is gone. 2( If you don't like looking at gross stuff( tumors, stiches, you are not going to like this. A bit too realistic for faint of heart. 3( The computer generated graphics( especially the vet techs are really bad. Pretty bad, actually. 4( There are only 3 vet techs and this is not enough. They look bad. I hate them, especially Dub. I can't stand this game or her. She is not smart enough and too short. She could take a few lessons from 25- year old Amanda. 5( I give this game 5 stars and I reccomend it for future vets over 8-9 years old, 4-5 for younger wannabes and maybe 3 years old for everyone else. Real science, fun for some, weak graphics and you are allowed to name your character: Amanda, 25 years old, Deanna Graff, Ian Muttit, Nick Dalley, Helen Archer, Kathy Labrada, Becky, Melissa, Andrea, Pam' O' Neil, Shelly Marks, Brian Dalton, Kristy Adams, Anmarie Lukas, Max Mixon, Joanne Sandano, Marc Macdonald, Debbie Macdonald, Barbara Cristiansen, Kristine Kendrick, Shelia Kennedy,Scott Wornick, Tina Salaks, Ricchie Ryan, Adam Gankewithz, Charles Jantzen,Andrea Runge, Ellie Sadler, Jenifer Francis, Jenifer Richardson, Deanne DiDgacomo, Paul Romano and much more.
A little more boring than RSPCA: Have you got what it takes? March 16, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The " zoo vet" concept is that you are a zoo veterinarian. The keepers alert you when the animal is behaving strangely. You can interview the keepers. Your job is to indentify their medical problem so the animals are healthy.
Zoo vet has lots of real- life cases. A flamingo limping, a giraffe with a stool problem, a manic zebra, a camel that must be readied to transport to another zoo.
If you solve a case perfectly, you will have a perfect score trophy in your shelf
So,at greatest strengths if you or your child wants to be a vet, this is the perfect game. I have always wanted to be an Animal Collection Officer from the RSPCA- this will be better than Disneyland. You can ask questions about the animal's condition i.e( is that reindeer's pulse normal. you have a variety of veterinary tools ( hypodemic, razor, sthetescope, forceps, stiches.
If you want to play a fun game, I noticed sveral problems:
There are 3 difficulty levels and over 3O cases. The fun is gone. 2)If you don't like looking at gross stuff ( tumors, stiches you are not going to like this. 3( The computer animated graphics(especially the vet techs are very weak. 4( It is a bit more boring than RSPCA: Have you got what it takes? 5( i give this game 5 stars. So if you are going to be a vet, I will reccomend this for children over 5- 7 years old, 8- 9 years old, and for little wannabes, maybe 3 years old.
I reccomend this game for all Zoo vet fans and I couldn't put it down.
Fun but goes by too fast December 12, 2004 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
This game was fun to play but I got it yesterday and I only have a few more animals to treat. The game is hard to understand at first but then it gets easier.
