Again....worthless July 18, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have a brand new computer with Vista and this would not play. The package says it works on Vista but after downloading onto C drive it kept saying compatability problem and provided a link to some step-by-step Microsoft solutions such as create user profile and uninstall/reinstall. I tried all of these so-called solutions but no change, it still kept saying not compatible. After a couple hours I gave up. As I said.....worthless.
Total bummer... July 12, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I basically got this game for my birthday - I was totally happy, excited, whatever you want to call it. THEN came the terrible part. My laptop didn't let me play the game. Why? I don't know. Maybe it's not built for gaming, but one thing's for sure: A BIG WASTE OF MONEY. I can't say it's fun because it doesn't work. I can only rate it 1 star! And I think microsoft is also pretty darn stupid for saying it works on vista when it probably won't! I even have another Windows XP in my room with a heavy duty graphic card, and it still doesn't work. BIG WHOOP.
P.S. I FEEL LIKE I'M ABOUT TO BURST
Warning! The game has a big fat bug June 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Before you buy this game, you should know there is a huge bug that has yet to be patched. Occasionally, autosave will corrupt your save file! There will be no warning about this and God forbid the power go out while you're playing the game. To make matters worse, people have been unable to backup save files due to the way the saves are structured (ie attached to user profiles).
That being said, the game is a highly addictive ecology sim and truely one of the most creative games I've played in years.
Worthless for us May 22, 2008 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
We installed, uninstalled, reinstalled. The game does not let you save unless you create a profile. No matter what we tried we could not save a profile. We could create it, but when prompted to save it, nothing happened. Even when we tried doing it through the "Live" site it asked for the product code, which we typed in, and then the "submit" button wouldn't even work. The game is now a $[...] piece of junk on the shelf because we can't return it.
System Requirements! December 27, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Watch out for the system requirements on this one. I installed the game only to find out it would not run on my computer (which is only two years old). It needs 10GB of free hard drive spaced and a pretty heavy duty video card, both of which I can not afford. Unfortunately I am now left with an opened Viva Pinata game that I can not use.
