Overall very good purchase January 7, 2008 I purchased this product for my almost 4 year old boy. He loves Jay Jay, in general, and has enjoyed the game, also.
The only problem I can see with the game, so far, is that one of the 5 or so games you need to complete in order to "win" is hard for ME to complete as an adult - - even at the lowest level. In it a downhill skier needs to quickly click on the correct numbered flag as they fly by. Although my child can correctly identify the numbers he is supposed to be clicking on, his hand-eye coordination isn't what it needs to be to be able to succeed...or even begin to progress through that game. The other games are all age appropriate and fun and he enjoys them.
The only possible other problem I could see is that a child much older than 4 would probably get through the games too quickly and then become bored with it, although I am making this comment knowing that there are 3 levels to the games and we have only tried the 1st level.
Overall, I give this game a high rating for being kid-friendly (with the exception of the skiing game) fun, educational, and SAFE for kids to use without parental guidance/supervision.

What a wonderful word for a child to learn: EARN. With concerns about my nephew being given almost anything he reaches for I bought this for his birthday. At four he is starting to develop a concept about work equating reward. His favorite cartoon show Jay Jay has helped with this wonderful computer program where Jay Jay has several errands to run to EARN his new job. The math skills taught were presented in a way that my nephew was totally unaware that he was learning! I'm looking to buy more Jay Jay programs. this one has done the job and more.
BUY THIS!! September 16, 2002 18 out of 20 found this review helpful
Jay Jay is one of my almost-3-year-old son's favorite TV characters. My son is fascinated with basic math right now. When I found that it taught simple math addition and measurement, etc., I decided to pick it up right away. After we ran it on my son's computer, we were pleasantly surprised by the vivid animation and the quality of the games it offerred. Usually the drawings of the characters in a computer do not look as good as what you would see on TV, but this one is just as good. It even plays the theme song in the beginning. BUY THIS ONE!! Your kids will learn a lot from it, even though he may think he is just playing an interesting computer game.
