3 out of 5 stars Not bad   November 12, 2007
Overall, our family enjoys this game. I bought it for my 5 year old as a fun finish to our homeschool days. It definitely teaches sequence of events, but I think the age definition (3-8 years) is a stretch. My 5 year old can't play this without help, nevermind my 3 year old. It's not the nutritional teacher that I had hoped from the title (for example Sam eats several boxes of cookies, which upsets his stomach, but just a few minutes later he eats an entire layer cake, and then a candy cane, all without complaint. He never once in the entire game or any variations, eats a nutritious food.) It is entertaining, and they do enjoy playing, but just cannot do so alone.

4 out of 5 stars Really fun   April 13, 2007

My 4-year old son really likes this game. It's exciting for him to see the changes each time he plays. Pajama Sam games are a little more challenging than Putt Putt and Freddie Fish. In this particular game, there is a part that requires reading, and an advanced understanding of riddles. I suppose he could click and click until he gets it right but that would take a long time and he would get frustrated. (You have to match riddles with the correct answers.) Because of this I wouldn't recommend it for a younger child who wouldn't have the assistance of an adult, but otherwise, it's very entertaining.
