Amazon.com Product Description NFL Blitz 2001 features new plays, player attributes, and animations, as well as improved player models. There are three minigames in which to train your players: First and Goal Frenzy, Quarterback Training, and Goal Line Stand. The game screens and menu systems have been redesigned completely for this year. Games can be played in four new stadiums. The block schemes and CPU play selection have been improved. Players now can compete against each other, even while in season mode.

OK... why would anyone be so lazy as to play a video game on a sport they can just go out and play any day of the week. Come on.. can you be more lame? Man... how boring. I wish I could kick anyone who buys this stupid game. the two stars are for the spiffy cover art...
The Best March 15, 2001 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have only played it on Dremcast and N64, but from what I have seen it looks like a great game. It is very fast and fun The codes are easy to get and everyone I know who has played it likes the game. I think that it is a great game and everyone should own it.
So bad, it's almost painful February 26, 2001 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
Did these guys playtest this thing before it left the shop ?1. The graphics are some of the worst I've ever seen. Everything is gritty and jagged. The players are tiny compared to how they used to be. 2. The playbook is teeny-tiny now. Almost unreadable 3. Load times for the game, and halftimes is unacceptable. 4. Slow, slower, slowest. Executing plays is a joke with the players practically crawling across the screen. It's like slow-motion, making it really easy to figure out what the offense is doing. The playlist editor is a nice idea, but because of 1-4, I cannot play this. I'm glad I rented it. And all the guys who play Blitz with me said the same thing "this is a big letdown"
the best of all times December 26, 2000 3 out of 8 found this review helpful

A Year Later, A Bit Worse October 27, 2000 28 out of 31 found this review helpful
They added some plays, gave you some more team-management options, but gave us worse graphics and gameplay. It is still fun, but frankly I have to recommend Blitz 2000 over this newer version. A bit of a disappointment.
