nice controller but September 24, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It has already malfunctioned. It seems they are making these too cheap, they just don't last long at all. It is definitely for small hands but I won't buy it again because of it being so cheaply made.
Perfect For A Child!!! August 14, 2007 I purchased this controller for my 9 year old son. He wanted a controller where the buttons were closer together for his small hands. I came across this and it is exactly what he wanted! Its perfect, works great, especially for the little guys!!
It is decent but not fantastic. April 9, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
First, I like to clear up something that was bothering me when I bought this controller. Well.. Just how small is it? Now, I can assure those who are wondering about this same question. Its case is just slightly smaller than official ps2 controller so it is not a kind of controller that only child can use. I have an average adult size hands (well maybe little smaller than average)and the size of controller itself doesn't bother me during gameplay (it's just different from official one).
But I am little hesitant over recommending this controller due to some serious flaws(it's just my opinion. some might not mind it as much).
First one is its D-pad. D-pad on this controller is much smaller than official one thus it is very difficult to do some precise inputting. If you play games like rpg types, this won't be a problem for you since navigating menu with D-pad or something like that is pretty easy. But if you play game like Tekken, you have a serious problem since it will be hell on your thumb(I am not saying its impossible. It will just be very difficult)
Second flaw is the buttons. Four buttons on the top of controller are placed more closer than its official counterparts but I actually like this layout. Problem lies with buttons themselves. Simply, they are not as sensitive as official sony controller. I suppose they work as they should but I noticed that in order to get the desired effects I have to press bit harder than I had to with Sony controller. I only noticed this problem when I was playing sports games (ex. NBA2k) but it is not a crippling problem. Just annoying.
Size of L2 and R2 buttons are noticeably smaller on this controller as well. So they are not as comfortable as Sony controller. Also, head of two analog sticks are smaller too but this didn't bother me at all(you get used to it quickly).
Summary
Cons
1. Crappy D-pad. (Imagine Xbox 360 D-pad. then imagine slightly worse quality one) 2. Buttons are not too sensitive. ( you will only notice it for some specific games or you may not notice this at all) 3. Size of L2 and R2 buttons. (R1 and L1 buttons are small as well but only size of L2 and R2 buttons bothered me during gameplay).
Pros (Yes!! There are pros. I just didn't mention them because I got tired of writing)
1. Look of controller. (This controller look reasonably attractive and it even have blue light that lights up when it is connected to ps2 even though I can't usually see it due to memory card blocking it)
2. Rubber padding on the handle of the controller. (I don't know how useful it is but it is nice to have.)
3. Turbo function. (Yes, It has turbo function and it works. I don't use it normally but I am sure some people would appreciate it.)
Conclusion
I wouldn't recommend this item if this cost same price as Sony controller. But It is a great deal at this price (around 10 bucks). Sure it has some issues but they are just annoying and they do not render the controller unusable. If you are casual gamer, there is a good chance that you won't even notice those problems at all. I certainly wouldn't recommend this to some guy with large hands but if your hands are close to normal size, you can use this controller without any worry.

I am an adult with small hands. This controller is perfect for me when I am slaying the bad guys.
GREAT CONTROLLER. October 13, 2005 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
THIS CONTROLLER WORKS VERY WELL. IT IS A BIT SMALL, SO IF YOU HAVE BIG HANDS IT MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU.
