Amazon Product Description
Designed for use with the PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and PS One entertainment systems, the Logitech Extreme Action Controller for PlayStation 2 is a sleek handheld gamepad that's loaded with far more amenities than its affordably low price might indicate.

To help you win your games easier and quicker, the unit sports a massive control set that includes no less than eight analog buttons, one 8-way directional pad, two 360-degree analog mini-joysticks and a turbo function. To help convince you that you're in the center of the action, it also features a pair of vibration feedback motors that rumble in accordance with your current situation -- if you're driving a car, for example, you'll experience the vibration of the engine. And as if that wasn't enough, the Extreme Action Controller also offers genuine leather grips, high-performance gold-plated connector pins, and an extra-long 9.5-foot connection cable. Controllers of this caliber were considerably more expensive even a couple years ago, so the Logitech Extreme Action Controller for PlayStation 2 is nothing short of a bargain at its current price point.

1 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware!   November 20, 2008
Let me start with this, DO NOT BUY THIS CONTROLLER! What a piece of junk! I wish I had listened to the previous reviews about this controller, but hey I guess you live and learn. Logictech should be ashamed of themselves for even putting this on the market. Yes it feels good in your hands, but you most likely will end up throwing it away. This is my second one and they both are trash. The first one lasted me for about three weeks, while the second lasted about ten minutes! I thought maybe I had received one of the bad ones so thinking that they ALL couldn't be bad I ordered another. BIG MISTAKE! They are all junk! the right toggle switch just has a mind of its own. It doesn't matter if your playing a fps or a driving game, it just goes crazy. it just pulls to one side unexpectedly and you have to smack it to get it to straighten up. This lasts for about 2 minutes before it goes crazy again. If you can't control your character you have no chance at beating whatever game you are playing. The sad thing is it feels really good in your hands, but like I said it is completely useless. You are better off just using the standard controller, unfortunately...

1 out of 5 stars Disappointment!   December 6, 2006
As an adult who likes to take a break from reality every now and then I thought these would be perfect for me. Larger size to fit my hands, nice leather sides, what could go wrong? Well, I bought two of these at the local Best Buy when they first came out and although I liked the physical size of them they didn't last very long. The buttons and pads were ok, but the joysticks seemed to be very sensitive to shock or storage. The left joystick in particular "went south" on me twice, and thus my characters, cars, and what-not always veered to the left. Good thing I bought a spare, huh?

So a couple years went by and I put on maybe 30 or 40 hours on the spare, but then it went bad. Yes, another left joystick. But this time Best Buy didn't handle them any longer, and the tiny little controllers for kids just didn't fit my mitts, so I found two of them here on Amazon (one to use and one for a spare). Guess what? I put about 20 hours on the first one, and then put it away in storage for about a year, upside down. When I took it out of storage just last week it didn't work, and the left joystick (again!) was all messed-up. My players and cars all turn to the left again! (Grrr!).

Ok, so now I'm on my last controller and have about 10 hours on it. I'm storing it very carefully, and being extra nice to it while I'm using it.

But when it goes bad I won't be replacing it with another Logitech product.

2 out of 5 stars Poor overall   October 29, 2005
I bought two of these controllers a while ago. The buttons are slow to respond and the sticks drift. It's a very nice looking controller and I would still be using them but I can't abide the stick drift. I't makes games almost unplayable. Imagine if you will driving a car on a straight road and having your car slam into a gaurd rail without warning. I have the same issue with any 3rd or 1st peron shooters. If you can't control the players, you can't play the game. It wasn't gradual either. You go from a dead stop to running in a random direction. It got very annoying and became almost a struggle. Not only did I have to compete againt the game I now had to contend with the controller fighting me too.

It's a nice looking controller and very comfortable to hold and use but it's inconsistent button/stick function leaves me unable to recommend this to others.

First off, it doesnt feel good in your hands, its too big and bulky and it is too heavy. I had the controller for 2 days and the analog sticks doesnt even work. And the buttons dont respond quick enough. Worst freaking controller ever. Dont buy it!!!!!
