Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
50 Cent: Bulletproof is gritty urban action as 50 Cent and G-Unit shoot their way through an army of drug dealers. After being shot 9 times, 50 crawls from out of thejaws of death, to get revenge. Working with his G-Unit soldiers - Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, and Young Buck - 50 takes on the most powerful gangs and crime syndicates in the city. It's a web of corruption, double-crosses, and shady deals - but 50 has the guts and the ammo to shoot through it and get the men who almost killed him.

1 out of 5 stars Mindless shooter and over all horrible   August 10, 2007
If you're into games with gameplay much like Truecrime: Streets of LA, you might. And I do mean, MIGHT. Like this game. But nearly everywhere you turn in this thing it's him plugging his vitamin water or music or just trying to show that he is some type of god because he can rap. This whole game is just cashing even more in on his fame. Totally lame. It's like just showing off everything and anything he can in this game. Eminem was hilarious in the game though. He won this game an extra star in the fun rating in this review.

If you want a better game that is cheap and somewhat the same concept. Get Truecrime: Streets of LA and put in the Snoopdogg cheat. Then you can play a rapper with no annoying ads about him floating around and actually drive around a fully made map too.

Oh yes, and thank god I rented it rather then buying.

Stepson says the game is worth getting so I am letting you know! (I have not played it, but he is the 'super gamer' in the house.

3 out of 5 stars An ok game   December 14, 2006
This game was ok enough, and it would be considered average. And to "heavymetalninja", I hope you realize you make "metal" fans look like trolls and idiots. You're close minded to the genre of rap/hip-hop, and you should actually listen to the artists and more into the genre.

2 out of 5 stars If You Hate 50 Cent So Much, Why Did You Buy This Game? [2.5 Stars]   April 13, 2006

Without injecting my personal views on race, or using 50 Cent as the scapegoat for why we can't achieve world peace, allow me to tell you what keeps this game (yes, it's merely a game, people) from being any good. Bulletproof was half assed from the graphics to the controls to just about anything else that matters. The first thing to jump out at me was the horrible storyline. The targeting is somewhat difficult, but once you get the hang of it, it isn't that bad. The overall experience was just okay for me -- nothing outstanding, but nothing so astoundingly terirble that it forces you to contemplate suicide. Trust me, you've played games that are a lot worse.

Something tells me that these whiners have played games where they've done some shooting. Hell, these guys probably love the Grand Theft Auto series and that's probably one of the most violent series ever. Basically, because the character of this game has a famous face, everyone wants to chime in with their opinions when half of them aren't even gamers. Whining about him being in this game is like whining about CJ being the lead character on GTA: San Andreas. It's both pointless and somewhat corny. Video games, movies, music, and most other forms of popular entertainment have heavy amounts of violence. 50 isn't the first to cash in on it and he most certainly won't be the last. Don't sit here and behave as if 50 Cent had a hand in the graphics or the controls. Those mishaps where handled by Vivendi Universal. I'm almost 100% positive of that, yet I don't see anyone slamming Vivendi for their shortcomings or involvement. I have an idea, why don't we all go slam Jet Li since his game sucked too? Oh wait.....Jet Li isn't a gangsta rapper like 50 Cent (hell, if you know anything about hip hop, then you know he isn't even that anymore), so I guess there's no need. But he's just as violent.

And the spotlight reviews couldn't be more wrong. Dorrie Wheeler almost never knows what she's talking about. Also, the african american community has PLENTY of good role models.....but the good ones don't get this kind of press (which is why Tavis Smiley is on PBS instead of CBS). Positive role models simply are not considered "news"......regardless of race. Besides, role models are for followers. Do you think leaders go around modeling themselves after someone else? Once you're strong enough to stand on your own merits and opinions, you should be your own role model. If you're a kid, look to your parents first if you have to look to anyone.....not these sheep. And if you're a parent, don't let the TV teach your kids.....that's for you to do.

And to those of you whining about cashing in...........isn't that the American way? I swear, the contradictions I'm reading here are astounding.

Bulletproof is not the godawful game these guys want you to think it is. It's not exactly great, but not the worst I've ever seen. It's somewhere between mediocre and decent. It has its strong points and its weak points, but if you like shooters, then this is for you. My only knock on the game is that it wasn't put together very well. The graphics are questionable and the storyline is aimless. I'm not a G-Unit/50 Cent fan, but I won't participate in the G-Unit witch hunt either. There are more than enough people on that bandwagon.
