5 out of 5 stars One of your {BETTER} retro game collections!!!!!   November 4, 2008
This game is most probably the coolest compilation of classic video games, on 1 disc!!! I bought this about 4 months ago, and have been excessively addicted to it for roughly the last 2 months. However, my disc case is blue, and not green, but it's the same game.
Now, there are quite a few on here that I just don't play. But, the one's that I do play, they MORE than make up for ones that I don't. Now, out of all the games, Bubble Bobble was the only 1 that I had ever played {the NES version}. That was originally the sole purpose for buying this game. However...I very quickly realized the other 'gems'on this disc.
Plump Pop, Rainbow Islands, Zoo Keeper, Electric Yo-Yo, Volfied, Tube-It, Return of the Invaders, Plotting, Phoenix {had only ever played the Atari 2600 version}, Super Qix, and, in saving the very best for last - The New Zealand Story!!! The New Zealand Story, this right here has to be the most AWESOMEST game of all time!!!!! Never heard of it before, but when I decided to finally check it out, I was instantly hooked. I love this game!!! To me, this 1 game more than makes owning the game worth-while Playing this game, almost solidly for close to 3 weeks now, my husband's already very tired of seeing it. He told me, he hasn't even played the game yet, and he's already tired of seeing it. I swear, it's just too cool a game - I love this super-cute kiwi game - I truely can't stop playing it!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars A glorious return to Arcade Classics!   November 2, 2008
Taito Legends is a excellent game!I was so thrilled to obtain this game and enjoy all the classics that I haven't seen in years:) the last time I remember playing Operation Wolf was back in 1990 I was elusively drawn to the uzi used as the controller. It also has a host of other classics such as Volfied,Great Swordsman(fun fencing game reminds me of Karate Champs concept),Thunderfox,Bubble Bobble,Rastan, and even Space Invaders-a timeless classic!Believe it or not, ever since these retro collections came out I got rid of every modern game why you ask? I even every game made from the late 70's to the Sega Genesis era...these games concentrated on entertainment based on a fun factor/strategy and yes they had their limitations but let's be honest how quickly does a game system be considered obselete-every 5 years or so to be precise.Luckily Sony makes their playstation games compatible with their next upgraded systems. If you miss the arcade classics then by all means go for the Taito legends and many others:)

5 out of 5 stars Every Game is Pure Entertainment   May 9, 2008
29 classic games, with the best graphics of that era. You bound to have several favorites and great 2 player games.

1 out of 5 stars May not work with older or refurbed PS2s   January 4, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

I purchased this title at a Best Buy (mistake number one due to their return policy) and found that it would not play on my original design Gen 1 PS2. This has happened only once before with a game called Ford Racing. The only common factor is that both disks had blue optical side surfaces. Not the usual clear or black like normal.

Don't know if this means anything other than my experience had been unsatisfactory.

Buyer beware.

5 out of 5 stars Great game   August 1, 2007
I can remind my childhood when I played them usually.
It is so funny even if the games are so simple.
