this is a must for old school arcade fanatics who love capcom games.. September 16, 2008 most of the games wher good in this volume though some i will admit I have never played before but yet did enjoy some were others that I always wanted but could never find back in the day......buy it! it is a must have for anyones video game collection.....
Oldies are goodies September 4, 2008 The games on this collection are so much fun. I spend hours playing it by myself and when my nephews are here to play with me, the many multiplayer games provide us with a choice of challenges. I recommend this collection to anyone for the variety it contains. You will LOVE it. Just remember it's "old school" graphics which I really enjoy!
Great old school arcade bundle June 11, 2008 This collection has some of the most important arcade classics from the late 80s and early 90s: a street fighter II variant, a 194X vertical shooter, several horizontal shooters, and Strider. I tried a console version of Strider back in the early 90s - might have been a Nintendo console - and it sucked vs. the arcade game. These are all the real original arcade versions, the only thing missing is the greasy joystick and skeeball ticket redemption counter 10 feet to my left. Definitely a winning value for your PS2.

I BOUGHT THIS TITLE BECAUSE OF THE GAMES I REMEMBER AS A KID AND THOUGHT I WOULD ENJOY THEM NOW AS AN ADULT GAMER, BUT THAT IS NOT TRUE.FROM THE WAY THE NINTENDO CONTROLLED THEM AND HOW THAT IS DONE IS A BIT DUMBED DOWN. YOU DONT HAVE TO WORK HARD TO GET MORE LIVES OR SAVE POINTS YOU CAN DIE RUN OUT OF MEN AND NOT HAVE TO START FRESH FROM THE BEGINING YOU JUST RESTART FROM THE POINT OF DEMISE, AND SINCE I AM PLAYING ON A PS3 IT IS REALLY SMARTER THAN THE GAMES. KEEP THE MEMORIES OF WHEN YOU PLAYED IN YOUR YOUTH BECAUSE ITS NOT THE SAME EXPERIANCE NOW...
old school is here, but............... September 3, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Ho-Hum, I enjoyed vol.1 more. I just wanted this one for the 1st STREET FIGHTER. Even though it's fairly pathetic in terms of graphics & gameplay compared to any of the SF2 series. I just don't understand why capcom didn't just put SF1 in SF: Anniversary collection as an unlockable. But anyway all the other games were pretty good to see and play again, at least there's a lot of 'em and thats always a good thing.
