Product Description Made Man presents you with a new kind of crime drama, with a classic "mob movie" feel. You'll experience the life story of Joey Verola -- a Vietnam veteran who rose through the criminal ranks and became an underworld figure. As he tells his nephew about what he went through to be a Made Man, you'll play his flashbacks and control the action. As you play, you'll experience power, greed, betrayal and tons of action. It's an authentic peek inside the world of ruthless wise guys.

The game was OK. It was another mafia clone game in the tradition of the Godfather, but I think the game could have done away with Vietnam. Makes the game less mafiaso.
Video Game May 12, 2007 The game was decent, could have probably used a more up to date playing system. Maybe if my character didn't step through walls and be shot it would be more realistic. Anyhow, overall the game is pretty good, if you like Grand Theft Auto series, and the The Godfather.
For $20, you can't ask for much more in a game... April 11, 2007 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
When video game company Acclaim went under recently, there were many "in development" titles under the company that were immediately scrapped. However, the creators of this game were persistent. They started their own studio and finished the game. Because of this, flaws are to be expected but trust me, look past them and you'll find yourself playing and enjoying a very clever game. First, let me just say that the graphics ARE pretty good. There are occasional glitches and cut scene problems but the overall game play is very pretty. To me the originality of the story line is excellent and as the game develops you be having a lot of fun. Overall, if this game had the standard $50 or even $40 price tag I would give it a 7/10. But since this is quality game for $20, it gets a 9/10 from me. If you come across this game at a local game store or Best Buy, it's worth buying.
Unbelievably bad April 9, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Remember Acclaim? You know, that third party publisher that released so many licensed comic book and movie-based games from the 16-bit to 128-bit era? A few years ago they finally went under, but when they did, there were a few games they had slated that never saw the light of day. Made Man was one of them, and now it's finally here on the PS2 at a budget price. However, even at a budget price, Made Man still feels like you're getting ripped off. Why is this? Because the game is unbelievably frustrating and contains a slew of gameplay bugs that given all the time this game was in development, should have been fixed. You play as Joey, a mafia guy looking to get, well, made. That's about as much to the story that's worth figuring out, thanks to a slew of gameplay bugs that include frequent crashes and choppy dialogue. Not to mention that the game's graphics look like a late in life PS1 game, the controls are horrible, the game's camera is schizoid, and the enemy AI is non-existant. Yeah, if you can't tell by now, Made Man is an unbelievably bad game that should have stayed stuck in development hell. Avoid, it's not even worth a look from the most die hard of GTA-style gamers.
