pretty good game July 15, 2006 great soccer game except for: the a i switching players automatically
the sound is sorta dull boring and doesn't blast in to your face
all the players have fake names. this part is really a struugle you have to change the players names to feel more realistc. it's a lot of work editing 22-23 players of 64 countries names to match closely to their models. the models are based on real soccer players though, so you could tell who henry or ronaldhino is on the game so it's easy to do that. just get fifa if you want liscened things and players.
except for that it's a good game, especially road to the international cup mode and it takes fewer memory blocks than fifa. i think it's 2 blocks for a profile, 3 blocks for each replay save, 15 blocks for the four year mode the road to the international cup, and 20 blocks for editing players and teams.
go ahead and buy it!

A great evolution of the arcade series! May 8, 2002 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Virtua Striker was the pioneering arcade 3D soccer game. While its arcade-style gameplay hasn't been a favorite of the die-hard sim nuts, it has never failed to keep me entertained. This latest version of Virtua Striker goes a long way towards being a great all-around soccer experience. The classic arcade feel is still very much intact, although the controls and player movement has been refined quite nicely. What really makes this game cool is the "Road to International Cup" mode, which lets you raise a team from scrubs to champs. It's a lot like the World Tour mode in Tennis 2K2, where you gain experience and work with schedules. It's always fun to have full control over your team, and this mode does a great job at that. So, if you like the arcade-style play of the VS series, you won't be disappointed with Virtua Striker 2002.

I can't wait to get this game. After playing this series on other systems, I can attest that this game is one of the best soccer games available. I'm sure that Sega will do an awesome job for the Cube, making this the best one yet!
